🇪🇺 From 27 Jurisdictions to One — EU Inc.
A Workshop on European Business Law
The European Union represents one of the most ambitious legal experiments in modern history: the gradual convergence of twenty-seven distinct national legal systems into a coherent and functional single market. Yet for businesses operating across borders, the reality remains complex — different rules on company formation, insolvency, contracts, and liability still continue to shape the legal landscape depending on where one operates.
As part of Europe Week, the Centre of European Business Law Studies invite students, academics, and legal professionals to explore the current state of harmonisation in European business law — how far Europe has come, and how far it still has to go.
The concept of “EU Inc.” — a notional single European corporate entity — serves both as a provocation and as a vision for the future of European integration: what would it take for the European internal market to function as if governed by one coherent legal framework?
Join us for an afternoon of rigorous academic exchange at the intersection of law, policy, business, and European integration. ⚖️🇪🇺
