I was reading the book "Trust and Inspire" by Stephen M.R. Covey. In the book, the author encourages the reader to reflect on certain qualities and ask themselves:

Would my child say I had these qualities?

• When your children think of honesty, do they think of you?
• When they think of patience, do they think of you?
• When they think of kindness, do they think of you?
• When they think of selflessness, do they think of you?
• When they think of humility, do they think of you?
• When they think of authenticity, do they think of you?
• When they think of a leader, do they think of you?

As a son, I reversed the question and asked myself:
Did my father have these qualities?

Alhamdulillah, I feel proud to say that whenever I reflect on this, my answer is 100% YES — because my father was truly a leader.

He was not only a parent but also a friend, a mentor, and a role model — for us and for his students.

May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah. Ameen.
