Before taking legal action, it is important to know your rights. If someone issues you a cheque and it is returned unpaid by the bank, you may file a civil suit for recovery to recover your money. Generally, the limitation period is 3 years, subject to the facts of the case and the applicable law. Delaying legal action may affect your rights, so seek legal advice as early as possible.

Got a NADRA Token but Still Haven't Received Your Card?
If NADRA has issued you a token but is delaying the issuance of your CNIC, NICOP, POC, or any other card without lawful justification, you may file a Constitutional Petition under Article 199 of the Constitution before the High Court.
The High Court can direct the concerned authorities to decide your case expeditiously and in accordance with the law.

⚖️ Pakistani Citizen Married to an Afghan National?

If your husband or wife is an Afghan national and has been denied a POC or is facing unnecessary delays despite being legally eligible, you may seek relief by filing a Constitutional Petition before the High Court.

The High Court can examine whether the authorities have acted lawfully, fairly, and in accordance with the Constitution and the relevant immigration and citizenship laws.

If an accused person has remained in jail for more than two years during trial and the case has not yet been decided, he may be entitled to statutory bail under the law, provided the delay is not caused by him.
Every accused has a constitutional right to a fair and speedy trial. Prolonged detention without conviction is not permissible in many cases.
