WASA Lahore has moved to select a consultant to design the bioremediation plant as ordered by the Lahore High Court and proposed by the River Ravi Commission.

Kudos to the MD WASA for spearheading this initiative. The River Ravi Commission is a PIL prepared by students from Lahore University of Management Sciences and filed by PILAP.

The Dirtiest Rivers In The World. Looking at the river and if there’s no garbage close to you, it’s hard to determine whether the river is contaminated. The rivers on the photos below may look “fine” but the facts speak for themselves. This is horrifying and this should be stopped.
