Khatanas’ Law Chamber has issued a Constitutional Notice to the Federal Government of Pakistan and all relevant authorities, calling for the immediate and faithful implementation of the binding judgments of the Honourable Lahore High Court (2012 CLC 1300 and subsequent proceedings).

The Notice seeks a comprehensive review of the implementation of the Court’s directions relating to the monitoring and blocking of unlawful online content, the functioning of the Inter-Ministerial Committee and Crisis Cell, enforcement mechanisms, and the overall compliance of the concerned authorities with their continuing constitutional obligations.

The rule of law requires that judicial decisions are not merely pronounced—they must be implemented. This Notice has been issued in furtherance of that constitutional principle and before seeking any further relief from the Honourable Lahore High Court.

The matter, heard by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Abid Hussain Chattha, concerned long-withheld admitted contractual payments. In a notable development, on the very first date of hearing, the Hon’ble Court was pleased to issue directions for deciding the representation through a speaking and well-reasoned order strictly in accordance with law within the stipulated timeframe.
