اگر چیک بطور ضمانت (Surety) یا سیکیورٹی دیا گیا ہو اور کسی واجب الادا ذمہ داری کی ادائیگی کے لیے جاری نہ کیا گیا ہو، تو دفعہ 489-ایف تعزیراتِ پاکستان (PPC) کے اجزاء لاگو نہیں ہوتے، اور ملزم قبل از گرفتاری ضمانت (Pre-Arrest Bail) کا حقدار ہوتا ہے۔
