Alhamidulilah.

Another Milestone Achieved by Our Legal Team.

By the grace of Allah, our legal team has successfully secured dismissal of a Rs. 5 Crore defamation suit filed against our client.

Brief Background:

The plaintiff instituted a suit for defamation, claiming damages of Rs. 5,00,00,000 (Five Crores), alleging that statements made by our client during a pending civil proceeding damaged his reputation, caused mental anguish, and resulted in financial loss.

Our Legal Strategy:

On behalf of our client, we appeared before the Honorable V-Additional District & Sessions Judge, Karachi East, and filed a Written Statement along with an application under Order VII Rule 11 CPC for rejection of the plaint.

Key Arguments:

Statements made during judicial proceedings are protected as qualified privileged; therefore, no defamation action lies.

There was no publication, dissemination, or circulation of any alleged defamatory material to the public.

The suit was barred by law, including Sections 8 and 12 of the Defamation Ordinance.
Hence, the suit was not maintainable.

Outcome:

After detailed arguments, the Honorable Court allowed our application VII Rule 11 and rejected the plaint, holding the suit to be not maintainable.

We remain committed to delivering principled, strategic, and results-driven legal representation.

Today, our legal team appeared before the Honourable High Court of Sindh, before Mr. Justice Ali Hyder Ada.

We represent the complainant who lodged the FIR at Police Station Gulshan-e-Iqbal under Section 489-F PPC.

The Investigation Officer, in collusion with the lady accused, malafidely recommended the case as (C) Class before the Honourable XIII Judicial Magistrate Karachi East.

The learned Trial Court, without applying its judicial mind, summarily accepted the Final Report as (C) Class.

We challenged the said order before the Honourable High Court of Sindh, Karachi today, 26.11.2025.

The Honourable High Court, after being satisfied, issued notices to the relevant parties with the initial observation that:

The IO has no authority to decide the guilt or innocence of any accused, his duty is only to collect evidence during investigation.”

We will make every effort to have the impugned order set aside and the matter remanded back to the Trial Court for proper disposal in accordance with law.

We strongly condemn any attempt to damage or encroach upon the historic and beautiful Karoonjhar Mountain.

Karoonjhar is not just a mountain , it is our cultural heritage, our history, and the natural beauty of Sindh.

We strongly demand that the Government of Sindh immediately withdraw its appeal against Karoonjhar.

Karoonjhar Mountain is a historical treasure and the natural beauty of Sindh. Any step that may harm or undermine its protection is unacceptable.

Karoonjhar belongs to the people of Sindh, and we will not allow any action that threatens its preservation.

Case Achievement by Our Legal Team.

Today, we successfully secured the release and bail of our client from the Special Duty Judicial Magistrate-II, Karachi South.

An FIR was lodged at Police Station Darakshan alleging that our client, due to rash and negligent driving, collided with a motorbike carrying three individuals, resulting in serious injuries—one of whom remains under treatment in the ICU.

During today’s proceedings, the police produced our client before the learned Duty Magistrate. The State Counsel and the complainant’s private counsel strongly requested police remand of the accused.

However, we vehemently opposed the request for police custody and argued that, on the available record, our client was entitled to bail at this initial stage.

After hearing detailed arguments from both sides, the Honourable Court was pleased to grant bail to our client against surety of Rs. 50,000, resulting in his immediate release from police custody.

This outcome reflects our firm’s commitment to dedicated advocacy, timely legal strategy, and protection of clients’ rights.

Court Sentences Husband to Death in Sania Zehra Murder Case — A Stark Reminder of the Urgent Need for Stronger Legal Protection for Women

An Additional District and Sessions Judge in Multan has awarded the death penalty to the husband of 20-year-old pregnant mother, Sania Zehra, who was found dead on July 9, 2024, in her home. The court held him responsible for her brutal murder — a tragic case that reflects a much deeper and widespread issue in our society.

Despite countless cases across Pakistan where women face physical violence, psychological abuse, harassment, and even murder at the hands of husbands or in-laws, the existing laws still fall short of providing complete protection. Every year, thousands of women suffer behind closed doors, often with no support system and no safety.

Although the Domestic Violence (Prevention and Protection) Act exists, its implementation remains weak and the punishments are not strict enough to deter offenders. As a result, women continue to live under constant fear, pressure, and control within their marital homes. This ongoing violence not only destroys lives but undermines the very fabric of a just and civilized society.

It is imperative that the Government of Pakistan introduces and enforces stricter laws to safeguard women’s rights — including their right to safety, dignity, and inheritance. Strong, enforceable legal protections and strict punishments are essential to create a safe environment for women both before and after marriage.

Violence within the home must never be normalized. Women deserve protection, respect, and justice — not silence, fear, or abuse.
