BYC Central Committee Member Bebarg Zehri and his brother Hammal forcibly disappeared by Pakistan’s security forces.

Quetta, March 20 – The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) strongly condemns the enforced disappearance of its Central Committee member, Bebarg Zehri, and his brother, Dr. Hammal Baloch, at the hands of Pakistan’s security forces.

At approximately 5:30 AM on March 20, personnel from state forces, including the so-called Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), raided the residence of Bebarg Zehri in Quetta and forcibly took him and his brother into custody. Dr. Hammal Baloch, a PhD holder, was also abducted in this blatant act of repression aimed at silencing Baloch voices.

The BYC unequivocally condemns these unlawful abductions and demands the immediate and unconditional release of both individuals.
