Alhaj Sardar Bahadur Khan Sr Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan
Legendary Lawyer, Jurist, Islamic Scholar, and Leader of the Bar
Born in 1922 in Village Talokar, Haripur, in an educational family. His father, Alhaj Moulvi Muhammad Khan, was a renowned teacher in Hazara District since 1875.
- *Early Life & Education*:
- Graduated from Islamia College Peshawar (1939) with distinction
- Topped Public Service Commission exam, appointed as Assistant Collector
- *Career*:
- Served as revenue officer/Tehsildar in Peshawar, DIK, Bannu, and Abbottabad
- Conducted land settlement in Abbottabad (1947/48)
- Resigned from service, topped the LLB exam from Peshawar University (1950)
- Started law practice in Abbottabad (1950)
- *Achievements*:
- Secretary, Abbottabad Bar (1962)
- President, Abbottabad Bar(1967-69)
- First President, High Court Bar Abbottabad Bench(1990)
- Member Syndicate and Examiner of Law, Peshawar University (3 decades)
- *Contributions*:
- on the invitation of Hazrat Moulana Maududi r.a joined Jamaat-e-Islami (1970), became Ameer e Jamat Hazara
- Chairman, Yateem Khana (30 years), secured land for new building
- Active member, UK Islamic Mission; delivered lectures in Europe and Islamic countries
- *Legacy*:
- Mentored countless law students and lawyers
- Three sons: Sardar Moazzam Khan AHC, Sardar Aman Khan ASC (former President High Court Bar, Candidate for President SCBAP), Sardar Samiullah Khan AHC
-Legacy Continues through the third generation.
