𝐂𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐀𝐖 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐒 𝟐𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐌 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓 𝐑𝐔𝐍 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐇, 𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃

𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗚 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 — The Cagayan State University College of Law concluded its campaign in the 2nd PICAM Construction Arbitration Moot Court Competition as a Quarterfinalist and recipient of the Henry Ford Award, held on July 6 to 7, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City Campus.

The competition, organized by the Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators, Inc., brought together law schools in a rigorous test of legal research, written advocacy, and oral argumentation in the specialized field of construction arbitration.

Representing the CSU College of Law were oralists Raymond Romeo Q. Domingo and Stanley M. Donato, together with researchers Lara Dominique L. Ancheta, Dolph Christian P. Battung, Yowelle Ched Q. Sedano, and Judith G. Parallag.

The team was coached by Atty. Mikael Regin B. Maestre, MCIArb.

Adding distinction to the team's performance, CSU College of Law was also conferred the Henry Ford Award, which recognizes the participating law school that demonstrated remarkable diligence, discipline, efficiency, and reliability throughout the competition process.

The recognition reflected not only the team's performance inside the moot court rooms but also the discipline, professionalism, and institutional commitment demonstrated throughout its participation in the competition.

Joining the delegation during the Awarding Ceremonies was Atty. Girlie Mei Cuntapay, a faculty member of the CSU College of Law, who witnessed the culmination of the team's campaign and the conferment of the award.

The CSU College of Law's participation in the 2nd PICAM Construction Arbitration Moot Court Competition marked another significant appearance for the institution in the national moot court arena, as its student advocates tested their skills before arbitrators and practitioners in the highly specialized fields of construction law and alternative dispute resolution.

The team credited its participation and achievements to the collective support of the Cagayan State University community. It expressed its gratitude to the University administration, led by OIC University President Dr. Arthur G. Ibanez, and to Engr. Roger P. Rumpon, Campus Executive Officer of CSU-Carig, for their invaluable support in making the delegation’s participation possible.

The delegation likewise dedicated the achievement to the CSU College of Law, under the leadership of Dean Atty. April Gayle U. Soller, whose guidance and unwavering support motivated the team from the beginning of its preparations until the culmination of the competition. The team also acknowledged the faculty members who extended consideration and accommodated the participants despite the demands of their classes and academic responsibilities, as well as the College staff who assisted in processing the administrative and logistical requirements necessary for the delegation’s participation.

The team further extended its appreciation to the individuals, alumni, organizations, and supporters who, in various ways, contributed resources, encouragement, and assistance throughout its journey to the national competition.

With its Quarterfinal finish and receipt of the Henry Ford Award, the CSU College of Law concluded its campaign in the 2nd PICAM Construction Arbitration Moot Court Competition with another significant achievement in the national moot court arena.

For the CSU College of Law, the journey continues.
