𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐈𝐁𝐀 𝐈𝐂𝐂 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 💫

The UST Law Debate and Moot Society (ULDMS) proudly congratulates its representatives for finishing as Quarterfinalists in the 2026 International Bar Association - International Criminal Court (IBA ICC) Moot Court Competition held in The Hague, Netherlands.

The IBA ICC Moot Court Competition is the world's premier moot competition in international criminal law, held annually in The Hague, Netherlands, with its final rounds conducted in the courtroom of the International Criminal Court and presided over by sitting ICC Judges.

Representing the UST Faculty of Civil Law in the competition were Exelcis D. Bernal (3E), who served as Team Captain and Defense Counsel; Joelle Joe B. Cruz (2A), who appeared as Prosecution Counsel; and Emmanuel Collado (4C), who represented the Government as Government Counsel.

Competing against 94 teams from 48 countries, the team finished as Quarterfinalists in this prestigious international competition, demonstrating the Thomasian commitment to excellence in advocacy and international law.

This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the invaluable guidance and unwavering support of the team's coaches: Atty. Marc Abella, Atty. Jan Dumaual, Atty. Loverly Barquez, Ms. Sophia Salonga, J.D., and the organization's adviser, Atty. Al Conrad B. Espaldon.

The ULDMS likewise extends its deepest gratitude to its alumni, committees, members, and everyone who rendered their time, effort, and support throughout the team's journey. Your collective support continues to make these milestones possible.

Congratulations to our mooters for once again bringing honor to the University and the Faculty of Civil Law on the global stage.

Today, the entire UST Law Debate and Moot Society celebrates with immense pride and gratitude as we honor our graduating members.

Beyond being outstanding law students, you have been dedicated competitors, advocates, and representatives of the organization. Throughout your years in law school, you carried the demanding responsibility of balancing academics with the rigors of debate and moot court competitions. The countless hours spent preparing, competing, studying, and persevering through challenges are a testament to your commitment, resilience, and service to the Society.

Your achievements extend far beyond trophies, awards, and victories. The legacy you leave behind is found in the standards you set, the inspiration you provided to younger members, and the excellence with which you represented ULDMS both inside and outside the competition floor.

As you close this chapter and begin your journey toward the Bar Examinations, know that the entire ULDMS family stands proudly behind you.
