EDSA People Power Anniversary

Today, we commemorate the historic triumph of the Filipino people during the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution — a defining moment when democracy was peacefully restored through unity, courage, and unwavering faith.
Along Epifanio De Los Santos Avenue, millions of Filipinos stood together — not with weapons, but with prayers, conviction, and love for country. In those extraordinary days of February 22 to 25, 1986, the world witnessed the power of a united people determined to reclaim their freedom and dignity.
Inspired by the sacrifices of those who fought for freedom, the Filipino nation demonstrated that unity and peaceful resistance can triumph over tyranny.
As we mark this anniversary, may we remember that People Power was not only a moment in history — it is a continuing responsibility. Democracy must be protected, truth must be upheld, and unity must always prevail over division.
May the spirit of EDSA live on in every Filipino heart — reminding us that the strength of our nation lies in our collective courage and our shared commitment to justice and freedom.
