𝐂𝐂𝐃𝐂 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐎𝐔 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐚𝐬, 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭

Cordillera Career Development College–College of Law and the Local Government Unit of Buguias formally entered into a partnership through the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding held at the Municipal Social Hall in Abatan, Buguias, Benguet. This event represents the first official MOU between CCDC–College of Law and LGU Buguias specifically in support of the College’s Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP), marking an important step toward expanding community-based legal services in the municipality.

In conjunction with the 114th Tuba Foundation Anniversary, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Municipality of Tuba and the CCDC-College of Law kicked-off.

With the Guidance of the Supervising Lawyer, Atty. Kennt Aguirre, and CLEP Director Atty. Czarinah Rose C. Gumpic, the six Law Student Practitioners will be offering FREE LEGAL SERVICES and assistance to clients today from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Coinciding with the 125th Founding Anniversary of the Municipal Government of Tublay, the CCDC-College of Law through its Community Legal Education Program (CLEP) conducted a free Legal Aid Activity at the Public Market Grounds, Municipal Compound, Acop, Caponga, Tublay, Benguet.

Supporting the founding anniversary theme “AM-AM NI I-TUBLAY: Kuli-nang I Tubday, Say Egkito Maytekay” (Arise People of Tublay So That We Will No Be Left Behind), the CCDC-COL is one with the Local Government of Tublay in bringing different services to the grassroots level by providing legal support and assistance to the constituents of the municipality.

The Law Student Practitioners of the CCDC-COL spearheaded the activity, together with their Supervising Lawyers, Atty. Sarah L. Cadiogan, Atty. Maya S. Apalias and Atty. Henry Gwyn Jonathan O. Salasa.

Barangay Lubas, in partnership with the Cordillera Career Development College – College of Law (CCDC-COL) through the CCDC Community Legal Aid Center, conducted an orientation on “Understanding the Rights of the Child Under Philippine Laws” and “Responsibilities of a Child” for 50 Grade 4 and Grade 5 learners of Lubas Elementary School on November 15, 2025. The activity aimed to raise awareness on children’s rights and strengthen their understanding of their roles within the family, school, and community.

The session was delivered by Law Student Practioners from CCDC-COL through its Community Legal Education Program (CLEP), who discussed child rights under the Constitution, the Family Code, and RA 7610, as well as the responsibilities of every Filipino child such as respect for parents, love of country, and active participation in school and community activities. Teachers noted that the discussion was engaging and helped simplify legal concepts for young learners.

Punong Barangay Milagros T Familan expressed her appreciation to CCDC-COL for supporting child protection and education initiatives in Lubas, emphasizing that early exposure to lessons on rights and responsibilities contributes to building a safer, more informed, and empowered youth sector in the community.
