CAVITE BRT TO OPEN IN MAY
The Cavite Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is set to begin partial operations in May, offering commuters a convenient point-to-point (P2P) travel option between Imus and Makati. The initial rollout will connect to One Ayala, benefiting an estimated 5,000 daily passengers, many of whom are Cavite residents working in Makati.
The full BRT system is scheduled to open later this year. Its core component includes a dedicated bus lane that will pass through several Cavite localities, namely Kawit, Imus, General Trias, Tanza, and Trece Martires.
Originally, the P2P segment was planned to connect with another Megawide project, the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX). However, the alignment was revised to terminate at One Ayala in order to better serve demand along the Cavite–Makati corridor. Megawide still intends to launch P2P services between Cavite and PITX once the Cavite BRT becomes fully operational.
