Since 2017, the Hindang District Teachers Outreach Program “ Share a Gift, Share a Love” was established under the leadership of the former Teachers League President Dindo Cavaltera.The program was led by the Hindang District Teachers League Officers.
It envisions to reach out less fortunate children in schools of Hindang District not just as Christmas drive, but anytime of the year. The mission of the program is to promote collaboration of stakeholders and teachers through its consistent efforts to help those children in need. It is also our mission to bring hope, joy and love by providing them basic needs and sharing their time and talents. One of our goal is to teach generosity to the students who contribute the used clothing and other stuffs to the less fortunate one.
Activities during the program includes feeding, giving clothes, shoes, toys and school supplies, games and showcase of talents.
Hindang Teachers League Officers continues to initiate the outreach program.It was again conducted on February 15, 2019 in Tabok Elementary School. The recipientS were the one hundred pupils of the said school. This year’s theme” Spreading Love,Teaching Generosity: Teachers Lifelong Twists out of the Four-Walled Classroom. It was headed by the newly-elected president Grace Caval Notarte.
The Hindang Teachers League Officers are committed to go beyond our duties and responsibilities and continue this lifelong twist even when out of the four-walled classroom.
Behind the success of the outreach program were the support extended to us.We would like to thank all the Hindang District Administrators headed by District Supervisor Dr. Arlene B. Yee and to all the Hindang District Teachers and other benefactors for all your donations in cash or in kind.To the solicitors Mam Vanessa for the toothpaste and to Ma’am Jocyl Bongoc for the toasted bread from Panny’s Bakeshop. To Mam Vilma for the delivery of the donation .To the host school of Tabok Elementary School Teachers headed by Ma’am Clarissa Geros for the preparation of the venue and the assistance given by the teachers in food preparations.To Sir Cesario Capongcol and mam Lucy for being with us during the program.Our special thanks also to event’s toastmasters Sir Nanick and Sir Louie.
