In the past decade, my family and I narrowly escaped the devastating grip of fire on two (2) separate occasions, each leaving an indelible mark on my consciousness. These close encounters with fire have instilled in me a profound sense of empathy and a desire to support others facing similar trials.

In the aftermath of these incidents, I, together with other lawyers of IBP-Cebu Chapter, have volunteered in offering legal aid through free consultation and notarial services, and in comforting those whose lives have been upended by fire in Luray I, Brgy. Poblacion, Toledo City.

Whether it's drafting of simple documents or providing legal support, I've found solace in being able to turn my own experiences into a source of strength and solidarity for others in need.

Through these acts of service, I've discovered the transformative power of resilience and community in the face of adversity, reaffirming our commitment in the IBP in helping those affected by fire find hope amidst the ashes.
