There are 2 ways to invest in the STOCK MARKET:

1.) Direct Investing
2.) Indirect Investing ( Mutual Funds)

Kapag Direct sa Stock Market ikaw ang Fund Manager at ikaw ang mag dedecide kung anong company ang bibilhin mo. Kunwari si PLDT 3,000 per share ngayon at ang minimum board lot nya ay 5 shares, so 5 x 3,000 is 15,000 pesos. Para makapag-invest ka sa PLDT ang need mo ay 15k. Now halimbawang bumagsak ang market at nag-withdraw/nagbenta ka ng shares lugi kana kasi isang company lang ang nabili mo, take note 15k isang company lang. At para maging succesful ang pag-iinvest Directly sa Stock Market kailangan mo ng tatlong bagay:
a.) Time
b.) Knowledge/Technical Analysis
c.) Big Capital

Sa Indirect naman ang tawag dun ay Mutual Funds.

Mutual Funds- allows you to purchase a basket of stocks/shares in different companies for a single amount.
- For Longterm Investment, Growth and Goals.

Hindi ikaw ang magdedecide dito kung saan mag iinvest na company. May Professional Fund Manager na magma-manage ng pera natin. Example, ikaw may 5,000 pesos, ako may 100,000 pesos at yung friend mo may 1 milyon. Yung 5k, 100k at 1M pagsasamahin yan ng Fund Manager at ibibili ng maraming companies, minimum of 10 BIG Companies dahil malaki ang budget natin. Dun yan ilalagay ng Fund Manager na sa tingin nya ay matatag na company, let's say ang mga company ay SMDC, AyalaLand, DMCI, VistaLand, Globe, Meralco, Jollibee, GMA, ABS-CBN, PLDT. kunwari yan yung 10 BIG Companies. Let's say bumagsak si PLDT, ABS-CBN at MERALC0. Kunwari yung tatlo na yan ay nalugi, pero yung 7 na natirang company ay kumita. Still, kumita kapa rin. Take note 5k lang ang budget mo nakabili ng 10 companies versus sa 15k na direct investing pero 1 company lang nabili.

Bottom Line: Kung ikaw ay may Time, Technical Analysis at Malaking Capital, mag-invest ka direct sa Stock Market. Pero kung ikaw ay bago pa lang, wala pang idea tlga at di kalakihan ang capital, I suggest mag Mutual Funds ka muna and then kapag alam mo na pasikot-sikot ng Stock Market dun kna magsimulang mag-direct. 🙂

TIME IS YOUR BEST ASSET 😊 worth to read

I'm Kulas Basilonia and I'm an artist, a musician.

I knew IMG even before I graduated nung 2012 dahil kay Bro. Bo Sanchez, pero 'di ako agad nag-start mag-invest kasi may mindset pa akong "De sige bbwelo muna ako." or "I'll start when it feels right."

I attended my first financial class with coach Chai Santiago nung 2014 pa. I was even with my bestfriend. Still, I didn't join.

Several bonuses & 13th month pays passed, all of them went to nothing but excessive food & luxury services. I always end up asking myself "Hala saan napunta yung pera ko?"

Mid 2015 came and the AlDub Fever was lit. I was blessed to be the courageous one to pioneer the AlDub Songs. I posted my song 'BaeYaya' on social media and it got 200k combined views overnight.

God blessed me through that song with lots of gigs, TV & Radio guesting, and I got signed to a major record label, Universal Records Ph. I was able to write songs for artists like Solenn Heussaff & Elmo Magalona. Of course, the cheques were fat.

My family & friends see me like one of those singer songwriters who's gonna be so rich; I thought so too. Coach Chai even contacted me and told me to start saving and investing already. I imagined the fame will last long so I thought maybe I could start a little later.

Then drought came; no calls, zero. Then, my contract ended. All of my music money was spent, yet again, on food and luxury.

I asked myself what's wrong? What's going on? Why does this feel like a pointless cycle? And that's when my bestfriend (whom I went to IMG with) came to say "You have to start saving and investing, build a solid financial foundation."

We went to IMG, I attended their free Financial Coaching class, and that's when it hit me; I should have started 5 years ago.

Good thing, I'm still young, I’m still at my 20s and for sure it is not yet too late to start. But again, sayang, sana noon pa ako nagsimula.

It felt uncomfortable at first, yung mag tabi para sa investment, but later on, it started to feel very rewarding, cause I know, someday, it will come back to me in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over — or siksik, liglig, umaapaw.

I hope you'll learn from my mistake. Stop delaying, make that decision to love your future self through investing, start today.

Pero ngayon sa halagang 1k to 5k pwede kanang mag simula. Buti nalang pinayagan ni Philippines Stock Exchange (PSE) na pwede ng maging shareholder sa mga blue chips company ang ordinaryong tao.
