⚖️ NATIONWIDE SYNCHRONIZED JAIL DECONGESTION ACTIVITY

The IBP – Agusan del Norte Chapter joined today’s Nationwide Synchronized Jail Decongestion Activity at the BJMP Butuan City Jail and Agusan del Norte Provincial Jail.

Together with the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) and jail authorities, we conducted a lecture on the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) Law, legal consultations for PDLs, and dialogues with jail management on relevant issues and concerns.

Through this initiative, we continue our commitment to bring legal assistance closer to those who need it most and promote meaningful access to justice.

March 23, 2026 | LAW for ALL x “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”

The IBP–Agusan del Norte Chapter, in coordination with the Father Saturniño Urios University–Urian Legal Aid Program, joined the Local Government of Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, in celebrating Women’s Month with the theme: “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”

Mayor Joselito T. Roble highlighted that the celebration was not only for enjoyment but also aimed to provide free services and knowledge to all women. The services offered included free hand and foot massages, medical consultations with free medicines, manicure and pedicure services, haircuts, and legal consultations on family law, domestic violence, and child support, as well as notarial services.

In his speech, he emphasized that, “Ang kababaihan ay haligi ng tahanan, ang kusog sa komunidad, ug ang inspirasyon sa umaabot na henerasyon.” A woman carries many responsibilities—as a mother, daughter, wife, and leader—and consistently rises to the occasion. “Padayon sa pagbarog, padayon sa paglambo.”

The chapter, along with its volunteer lawyers, participated in the whole-day activity, engaging with women participants through a legal awareness talk on laws against gender-based violence, as well as providing free legal consultations and notarization for other legal needs.

March 20, 2026 | LAW for ALL x Bayugan on Wheels 2026: Brgy. Panaytay, Bayugan City

The IBP–Agusan del Norte Chapter and Agusan Del Sur Chapter, in coordination with, the Father Saturniño Urios University–Urian Legal Aid Program joins Local Government of Bayugan City’s Bayugan on Wheels.

Both chapters of the Agusan Province joined the city’s community outreach Activity to assist the residents of Brgy. Panaytay, Bayugan City with their birth or marriage registration concerns such as notarizations of required legal documents as well as other legal matters for consultation.
