Inutusan ng Korte Suprema ang D.M. Consunji, Inc. na bayaran si Joy M. Villarico ng PHP 30,000.00 dahil sa hindi pagsunod sa twin-notice requirement, kahit na may sapat na dahilan para sa kanyang pagkakatanggal sa trabaho.

The Court ruled that:

"Nevertheless, it has long been settled that where the dismissal of an employee was for a just cause but due process was not observed, the dismissal is upheld, subject to the liability of the employer for noncompliance with the procedural requirements of due process.

Clearly, the established rule is that failure to observe the procedural due process in dismissing an employee on the ground of just cause does not render the dismissal invalid or ineffectual, but only subjects the employer to the payment of nominal damages in the amount of PHP 30,000.00."

Pwede na ngayong gamitin ulit ng isang babae ang kanyang apelyido sa pagkadalaga (maiden name) basta't magpakita siya ng kanyang birth certificate mula sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) o sa mga kinatawan nito. Pero, kailangan munang nakalagay ang kanyang maiden name sa lahat ng kanyang ibang valid IDs at mahahalagang dokumento. Kay, hindi na kailangan pang mapawalang-bisa ang kasal bago mag-apply ng "reversion".

(a) ang nag sangla ay walang valid title

(b) gayun pa man, ang nag sangla ay nakakuha pa rin ng Torrens 'Certificate of Title',

(c) naisangla niya ang property sa iyo

(d) ikaw ay nag rely sa 'Certificate of Title' na pinakita sa iyo at wala kang dahilan upang magduda kung valid ba yung certificate
