đź“– WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

The Holy Spirit is not a force or an impersonal power — He is a person, the third person of the Trinity. He is described in Scripture as having a will, emotions, and intellect, and He speaks, teaches, grieves, and intercedes.

🔥 FUNCTIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

1. Conviction of Sin

John 16:8 – “When He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”

The Holy Spirit awakens people to their need for salvation and shows them their separation from God.

2. Regeneration (New Birth)

Titus 3:5 – “He saved us… through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.”

The Spirit gives spiritual life — often called being “born again.”

3. Indwelling of Believers

1 Corinthians 6:19 – “Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you.”

Upon salvation, the Holy Spirit takes up residence in the believer. He is God living inside the Christian.

4. Sanctification

Galatians 5:16–25 – The Spirit helps believers grow in holiness, bearing the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, etc.).

He transforms character and helps overcome sin.

5. Guidance and Teaching

John 14:26 – “The Holy Spirit… will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have said to you.”

He leads believers into truth, helps interpret Scripture, and gives wisdom in life decisions.

6. Empowerment for Service

Acts 1:8 – “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses…”

The Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12) and boldness to share the gospel.

7. Intercession

Romans 8:26–27 – “The Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

He prays on behalf of believers, especially when they don’t know how to pray.

8. Unity in the Church

Ephesians 4:3–4 – “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

The Holy Spirit unifies believers as one body under Christ.

✝️ SUMMARY

The Holy Spirit is God actively at work in the world and in the life of every believer — convicting, transforming, empowering, guiding, comforting, and equipping. His presence is both a seal of salvation and a source of ongoing spiritual life.

Many are busy walking up and down the streets, too busy with many activities. In the process, they dry up spiritually. They become sad and bitter. They may even begin to blame people for their challenges and equally blame seen and unseen enemies and then began to seek deliverance in different places to another that won't yield any results.

Obadiah 1:17 tells us where to get full deliverance and satisfaction. It is in the presence of God ;which it calls mouth Zion.

GOD'S JUDGEMENT IS COMING UPON THE CHURCH (1peter 4:17)
In this judgment, all the secret things we have done will be exposed. The falsehood we have been practicing in our lives and in our fellowships. He will judge the various ways we have been raising funds! Polluted offerings and services, lies we told to get positions and lies. He will judge our love for materialism and worldliness, and our spiritual harlotries.

So how do we know God's will for us? By staying close to him. We cannot know the will of any man unless the man tells us.but no man will reveal his mind or his will to people who are not close to him. God doesn't reveal things to those who aren't around him. This is why holy Ghost school is important, spending time alone with God will make him reveal his will for you to you. He will lead you step by step until you fully enter into his will and fulfill it. This is the only way to have eternal joy at the very end of this journey.

Now do you know exactly God's will for your life? God has specific plans for each of his children. Do you know yours? Or do you think that whatever work you do in the name of the Lord is acceptable to him?
Operating outside the will of God is responsible for the problems most believers have these days! We must now seek his will and do it, so that we don't get rejected on the last day, like those workers in Matt 7:22, 23.

4) WHOSE WILL ARE YOU FOLLOWING?
at this end time God wants to train his children by himself. He announced this in Isaiah 2,2-3; Micah 4:1, 2, Joel 2:28-31 and Heb 8:10, 11. God wants to teach us by himself so that none of us will miss the rapture. The way things are going on in the churches and fellowships are no longer pleasing to God. We have turned God's house into a place of trade and business. Do you know why? Because we are now in the time of the of the church in Laodicea, the church that's talks of money and materialism as her message. Rev 3:17. If we continue like this we might all end up in hell on the judgement day, which is why God wants to draw us closer to himself to cleanse us and we do his will.

Still on the purposes of holy Ghost school
3) CLEANSING AND PERFECTING THE BRIDE OF CHRIST.
Holy ghost school is all about our character. God wants us to become like his son jesus. (Rom 8:28)
The body of Christ today is like a an ugly woman clothed in rags! Full of spots and wrinkles, polluted! Because of this ugly situation, God is drawing us close, so that he would cleanse and purify us from our many impurities. Clothing, beautification and perfection of the bride of Christ. We must all pass through his refining fire so as to be clean for him. Only vessels which are cleansed and sanctified will be used by him in his end time work.

One of the major works of the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian is transformation into Christlikeness.

Explanation:

After salvation, the Holy Spirit begins a powerful, lifelong work of sanctification—this means making the believer more like Jesus in character, thought, and behavior. This transformation is not by human effort alone but by the Spirit’s inner working.

Scripture Support:

> “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, **which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)

The Holy Spirit:

Convicts the believer of sin

Produces the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23: love, joy, peace, etc.)

Renews the mind and heart

Guides into truth and spiritual maturity

Helps the believer live a holy life

In Summary:

The Holy Spirit doesn’t just dwell in a Christian for comfort or power alone—He works deeply and continuously to shape the believer’s inner life

2) IT IS A DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAMME.
when the holy Spirit is teaching and leading someone directly, then that person has become a true disciples of the Lord.
Disciples are disciplined and separated people who have truly yielded their entire lives to jesus, and are willing to obey whatever he directs them. Disciples are different from the crowd which goes around looking for miracles. Disciples seek to know God more intimately so as to do what pleases him. If you desire to be his disciple then study Matt 16:24 and Matt 10:34-39 and fully make up your mind?
Are you willing to receive the nature and life of Christ, and abandoned your own ways completely? Mark 1:7.

PURPOSES OF HOLY GHOST

One may ask especially believers and workers in the church. Here are the reasons
1) personal, intimate relationship with jesus.
We need this closeness and intimacy with the Lord in these last days more than ever before. Why? Because the last days shall be a difficult time for one to live in. It is called perilous times when there shall be many dangers to lives and properties; and the troubles shall be happening all over the world. ( Luke 21:25-28) ( Matt 24:9-13) love of man shall wax cold because of the hard times they are passing through. The only safe place shall be the presence of God and only those who are close and intimate with God shall dwell in his presence.
