Today, we celebrate a distinguished statesman, an exemplary leader and a resounding Patron whose presence lends honour, strength and distinction to the Justice Udo Udoma Chambers.

Senator Ekong Sampson, your association with JUUC represents more than a title. It is a cherished bond of mentorship, leadership and shared commitment to excellence. We are honoured to celebrate a man whose stature, wisdom and service continue to command respect and whose presence remains a source of pride to the Orange Family.

Common Misconception in Law:
Police must catch you in the act before they can arrest you!

Many Nigerians believe police can only arrest you if they witness the crime themselves, the classic “catch me red-handed” idea. Dey play. 😂

That’s not true.
Police can arrest based on reasonable suspicion, credible information, or a court warrant, even days or weeks later. This power is backed by Section 35 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), Section 38 of the Police Act 2020, and relevant provisions of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015.

Many people have landed in extra trouble by arguing and resisting arrest because of this myth, thinking the law is on their side. Don’t learn this the hard way. Know the law, it protects you better when you understand it.
