The Executive Secretary of the Lawyers in Energy Network (LEN), alongside the Director, Legal Services of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Dr. Joseph Tolorunse, and other distinguished stakeholders at the recently concluded NMDPRA Stakeholders’ Engagement on the Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Prevention of Anti-Competitive Practices and Behaviour Regulations, 2026, held today in Abuja.

The engagement provided an important platform for stakeholders to examine the proposed regulatory framework, share perspectives, and contribute recommendations aimed at promoting fair competition, transparency, regulatory certainty, and sustainable growth within Nigeria’s midstream and downstream petroleum sector.

Lawyers in Energy Network remains committed to constructive regulatory engagement and to contributing legal expertise towards the development of a robust, competitive and sustainable Nigerian energy industry.

*Key Responsibilities*

- Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient office operations.

- Manage correspondence, documentation, and records.

- Assist in organizing meetings, conferences, and LEN events.

- Support internal communications and coordinate between departments.

- Prepare reports, memos, and other professional documents.

- Maintain office supplies and ensure smooth daily workflow.

*Requirements*

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- A minimum of B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
- 1- 3 years of relevant experience in a similar administrative role (experience in the legal or energy sector is an advantage).

This milestone is a commendable contribution to the advancement of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Nigeria and reflects a strong commitment to promoting efficient, innovative, and accessible dispute resolution mechanisms. As an institution dedicated to excellence in legal practice, we celebrate this significant achievement and the value it brings to the legal and business communities.
