Dragging is not a new form of content.

Using social media to insult, defame, or maliciously attack a person is punishable under Nigerian law.

Such acts amount to defamation under Sections 373-375 of the Criminal Code and cyberstalking/online harassment under Section 24 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015.

Freedom of expression does not include the right to destroy another person’s reputation. Think twice before you post.

A safer society begins with awareness, dialogue, and cooperation.

Grateful for the opportunity to interact with ACP Olu Moore Akinmoladun, the Police Area Commander, Ijebu Ode, TRACE Commander Mr. Oshilaja, and FRSC Two-Star Officer Mr.

Adewunmi at the Security and Legal Awareness Summit.

Together, we reinforce the message: knowledge protects, and collaboration strengthens security.

Highlights from my presentation at the Security and Legal Awareness Summit during SUG Week.

The session focused on fundamental human rights, responsible conduct during security encounters, and the importance of legal awareness as a tool for personal protection and societal peace.

An informed student is a protected student.

It was an honour to engage with key security stakeholders during the Security and Legal Awareness Summit.

Grateful for the opportunity to share meaningful conversations with ACP Olu Moore Akinmoladun, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Administration), Ogun State Police Command; the Police Area Commander, Ijebu Ode; Mr. Oshilaja, TRACE Commander; and Mr. Adewunmi, a Two-Star Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

Collaborative engagement between legal practitioners and security agencies remains essential in promoting awareness, accountability, and a safer society.

Be aware. Be empowered. Be safe.

M. Feyisetan Adeogun, Esq.
