COURTESY VISIT & AWARD PRESENTATION

4th September, 2026

Today, the National Body of the Sabuwa Local Government Students Association (SALSA) under the leadership of comerade Anas Shehu Galadima paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello Kogo II, Sarkin Kogon Katsina and Grand Patron of SALSA National.

The delegation seized the opportunity to formally congratulate His Royal Highness on his appointment as District Head of Sabuwa Local Government and on his successful turbaning ceremony as the Sarkin Kogon Katsina. In addition, the association had the distinct honour of conferring upon him the SALSA National Grand Patron’s Award of Excellence—a tribute to his exemplary leadership, fatherly guidance, profound service to humanity, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of students and youth.

During the audience, His Royal Highness lauded the initiatives and sustained efforts of SALSA National in championing the cause of students. He also offered his customary words of fatherly counsel, encouragement, and strategic guidance—advice that continues to serve as a wellspring of inspiration for the entire association.

The Executive Council extends its profound gratitude to His Royal Highness for his warm hospitality and enduring support.

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO SABUWA LOCAL GOVERNMENT STUDENTS.

🎓 MEDICAL STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

The Sabuwa Local Government Students Association (SALSA) National Body wishes to inform all students who are indigenes of Katsina State about a valuable opportunity for university students studying Medical Sciences and other health-related disciplines.

Under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, the Medical Students Scholarship Scheme has been established to support eligible students and ease the financial burden associated with studying medical and health-related courses.

🎓 ELIGIBILITY: • University students who are indigenes of Katsina State
• Students studying Medical Sciences/health-related disciplines
• Applicants who meet the requirements and criteria of the scholarship scheme

This is to inform all SALSA Local Chapters that there has been an important adjustment to the procedure for the ongoing Validation & Revalidation Exercise.

All Local Chapters seeking Validation or Revalidation are now required to personally contact the SALSA National Body President for further instructions and processing.

MATSAYIN ƊALIBAI KAN ALƘAWARIN DA AKA YI MUSU

SASHI NA FARKO

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Ina mai gabatar da godiya da jinjina ta musamman ga Shugaban Karamar Hukumar Sabuwa, bisa irin ƙoƙarin da yake yi wajen cigaban al’umma, musamman a fannin ilimi da walwalar ɗalibai. Hakika, mun shaida ana ƙoƙari sosai, kuma wannan abin a yaba ne.

Kamar yadda kowa ya sani, a ranar 03/03/2026, mun samu karramawa daga Shugaban Karamar Hukumar, inda ya zauna da shugabannin ƙungiyar domin sauraron koke-koken ɗalibai da fahimtar ƙalubalen da suke fuskanta.

A wannan zama, Alhamdulillah, an saurare mu, sannan muka gabatar da wasu muhimman buƙatun ɗalibanmu. Waɗannan buƙatu ba wai na ɗalibai kaɗai ba ne; abubuwa ne da idan aka aiwatar da su za su taimaka wajen gina ɗalibai da ƙara wa al’umma cigaba.

Alhamdulillah, an amsa mana kuma aka yi mana alkawarin cika waɗannan buƙatu.

Kamar yadda aka sani, duk mai buƙatar taimako yana da lokacin da taimakon ya fi muhimmanci, domin a lokacin ne zai fi amfani wajen magance matsalar da yake fuskanta.

Haka abin yake ga ɗalibi. Ɗalibi ba mai sana’ar roƙo ba ne; neman tallafi yake domin ya samu damar tsayawa da ƙafafunsa, ya kammala karatunsa, sannan ya zama mai amfani ga kansa da al’ummarsa.

Saboda haka, muna matuƙar yaba wa Shugaban Karamar Hukumar bisa sauraronmu da kuma nuna shirin tallafa wa ɗalibai.

Allah Ya ƙara masa ƙarfin guiwa, Ya taimake shi wajen cika duk wani alƙawari da zai amfani ɗalibai da al’umma baki ɗaya.

OFFICIAL VALIDATION & REVALIDATION EXERCISE

TO ALL SALSA LOCAL CHAPTERS

Theme: Strengthening Unity, Representation & Accountability

The SALSA National Body hereby announces the commencement of the Official Validation and Revalidation Exercise for all SALSA Local Chapters across tertiary institutions.

All existing chapters are required to revalidate their status, while newly established or previously unvalidated chapters are required to validate their chapters with the National Body.

Each chapter is expected to submit its institutional details, names of current executives, contact information, membership strength, and evidence of current leadership for verification and official recognition.

The exercise is aimed at strengthening coordination, updating the Association’s records, ensuring proper representation of Sabuwa students, and promoting accountability across all Local Chapters.

All Chapter Executives are therefore urged to cooperate fully and complete the exercise within the stipulated period.
