A very bosom friend of mine called me asking me to draft some tenancy agreement. I beckoned okay. He sent me details of parties involved. I reminded him of the rule of law in vogue as we speak as I don’t want to be debarred forwarding my professional fee for such transaction. He quickly retorted , “Ah! Barrister we are friends na! Nor be just to edit some tenancy agreement you already have , and put your seal???”😳😳😳werey!!! He even went as far as sending me copies of already made tenancy agreements to me asking me to edit that work and put my seal and send to him telling me jokingly he can’t pay since we are friends. The best he can do is “subscribe” for me. My response to him shocked him. With my full chest , I told him “ oga since you already have the tenancy agreement with you , you can do it yourself na. And put your own seal. I nor do that kind Father Christmas work.My profession has woken up.seems he got angry. Didn’t reply my messages. Funny enough this guy is a certified Surveyor.Texted him the next day if he has done the agreement , oga told me his other lawyer friend has done it for him . For free I guessed. To my surprise , he called me just yesterday here asking me to do some deed of transfer , before I could say anything about my legal fee of the “ALMIGHTY 10%” . Bros has already asked me for my account details so he could transfer my 10%. So the thing is , the public is ready to abide by the rule of law if only we could be disciplined enough to stick to our terms. Let’s make this profession prestigious and unique indeed like other professional bodies.the ball is definitely in our courts~Edubrain Legals.

So many Nigerians think that their next of kin is the automatic heir to their account. But the truth is that if your next of kin is not a signatory to your account, and you don’t have a written will to determine that person’s legitimacy, the person will not have access to that money at all. Your bank will have to go through a process called a LEGAL PROBATE.

This probate period helps them determine who gets the money in your account. This is a very very lengthy and expensive process. Even after the whole process is done, your family will have to forfeit some very reasonable amount of the money for legal fees.

But if you want to avoid this, simply request for your bank to give you something called a POD form. POD stands for PAYABLE ON DEATH. The name of the person you fill in that POD form will determine who will get your money. All the person needs to bring is a death certificate to get that money out.

With a POD form, you will save your family the stress of going through all that lengthy legal process and even losing some money to the law.

Nigerian government officials are wicked. They invested heavily in the Dangote group on an individual basis. The group borrowed US $3 billion to build the refinery, which evidently cost US $3.8 billion to build.
Fraud No 1 - The refinery was revalued in paper to US $13.9 billion when it was 70% completed.
Fraud No 2 - NNPC led by Mele Kyari, the statutory industry regulator and affirmatively a competitor with three moribund refineries in Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna, decided without public knowledge or imput, to buy 20% shares in Dangote Refinery. 20% shares is US $2.8 Billion.

The total amount required to revamp Warri and Port Harcourt refineries is US $2.65 billion. The question here is, what is the special interest in Dangote Refinery?
Fraud No 3 - The president of Nigeria hurriedly commissioned a refinery that is only 80% completed. The refinery may not be functional until January 2024. NNPC, the industry regulator had advised the House of Representatives Appropriation Committee that the Dangote Refinery would be up and Running in March 2023 hence there would be no need to make provisions for Subsidy in 2023/24 Budget. Unfortunately, the Refinery is not ready and there are no provisions for subsidy in the budget.
At the commissioning of the half baked Refinery, Emefiele, the famous Central Bank Governor, announced that Dangote had paid 70% of the loan he took for the Refinery. I am forced to ask, how did a Refinery that is not operational raise money to pay 70%? The Nigeria stock exchange does not have any record of share sales in relation to Dangote Refinery other than the NNPC investment.

Fraud No 4 -When Dangote came into cement production, the government brought in a fictitous quality standard designed to restrict cement supply to his company and cut off all imports. The same style has now been adopted to grant Dangote the exclusive right to supply petrol to NNPC at a price determined by Dangote and his co- travellers.

Conclusion - the subsidy removal was planned and agreed by the government as a pre-condition for Dangote to build a refinery when the Western world is moving away from Fossil Fuel. The removal of the subsidy is to maximise profits for the owners of Dangote Refinery ie Mr Buhari, Mele Kyari, Emefiele, and so on. The list is long. They do not care about the common man. They forgot that there is no social welfare in Nigeria. They can tell us stories about loans and palliatives to deceive us as usual.
What they do not know is that Nigeria is about to be set ablaze!!!
