Everyone is watching it…
Everyone is talking about it…
But almost nobody is asking the real question:
WHO is actually committing the crime here?
Let’s be honest.
A private video gets leaked, and within minutes, it spreads like wildfire. Groups, DMs, status updates… everyone wants to “see what happened.”
But pause for a second.
The real issue is not just the leak; it is what happens thereafter.
Every forward; every share; every “send me the link.” That is where the damage multiplies.
Because:
➡️ Someone’s privacy is being violated
➡️ Someone is being publicly humiliated
➡️ Someone’s life, career, and mental health may never be the same
Yet, many people don’t see anything wrong with clicking “forward.”
Let me put this clearly:
You may not have recorded the video…
But the moment you share it, you become part of the vi0lation. Depending on the situation, that act can amount to:
Invasion of privacy
Cyberbullying
Defamation
Even cybercrime
So the question is no longer: “Who is in the video?”
The real question is: “Why are YOU spreading it?”
Before you click “forward,” ask yourself:
👉 If this was your sister, brother, friend, or colleague… would you still share it?
👉 Would you want thousands of strangers consuming someone you care about like entertainment?
We can’t keep normalising exploitation and calling it “gossip".
Not everything that trends deserves your attention.
And definitely not your participation.
Let’s normalise respect. Not exploitation.
What do you think; should people who share such videos be held accountable too?
