CAC COMMENCES ANOTHER ROUND OF STRIKING OFF DEFAULTING COMPANIES FROM THE REGISTER (Batch 6)
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has issued a Public Notice of its intention to strike off 100,000 companies from the Register pursuant to Section 692(3) and (4) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020. Affected companies have 90 days from 15 July 2026 to regularise their records by filing all outstanding Annual Returns and updating their Persons with Significant Control (Beneficial Ownership) information, failing which they risk being struck off the Register without further notice.

Being struck off can have serious legal and commercial consequences, including the loss of corporate status, disruption of business operations, and difficulties in dealing with banks, regulators, investors, and counterparties. Company directors and business owners should immediately verify their company's status and ensure full compliance with the CAC's filing requirements before the deadline expires.
