Now, let’s settle this! (No be fight o😀)
Hello Smart Investor!
Let’s say you're thinking about investing in real estate that’s amazing oh yeah!
But now you're torn between going for a dreamy beachfront property or a solid apartment in Lagos or Abuja.
Which one is really worth your money? Confusion here and there.
I got you!
But wait, let’s check something!
Are you that person who:
💚 Loves peace, ocean breeze, and a slow-paced life (like me, lol) Then, go beachfront.
Or you are that person who:
💚 Prefers convenience, daily access to work, and vibrant social life? Then City living might be your thing.
Let’s look at the Pros and Cons anyways.👇🏼
BEACHFRONT PROPERTIES: BEAUTIFUL BUT BOLD
From Ilashe to Lekki beachfront in Lagos, owning a property by the water sounds like a dream, right? And it can be but it’s not without its challenges.
Pros:
✅ Great for Airbnb or vacation rentals
✅ Amazing views and bragging rights!
✅ Limited supply = higher potential for appreciation.
Cons:
❌ Maintenance can be expensive (saltwater, is that you?)
❌ Flooding and erosion risks
❌ Rental demand may drop outside festive seasons.
CITY PROPERTIES: RELIABLE & RESILIENT
Now let’s talk city life: places like Victoria Island, Ikoyi, and Abuja. These areas never sleep, and that means steady demand and good rental returns.
Pros:
✅ Strong demand from professionals and businesses.
✅ Easier to rent or sell.
✅ Close to everything from work, schools etc.
Cons:
❌ High upfront cost (especially in top locations).
❌ Possible oversupply in some areas
❌ More traffic, noise, and hustle
So, What’s the Verdict?
✔ If you want luxury, vacation vibes, and don't mind seasonal income, Beachfront' is for you.
✔ If you are looking for a stable, long-term investment? Then, go for City.
