MULAN YOBE RAMADAN PUBLIC LECTURE 2025

On Saturday, the 22nd March, 2025, the Muslim Lawyers' Association of Nigeria, Yobe State Chapter, under the vibrant leadership of Barr. Babayo Abdullahi Ngada (Director, Ministry of Justice of Yobe State), has conducted a Public Lecture themed: "Navigating the Challenges of Social Media in Muslim Marriages and Divorces" as usually held every Ramadan.

The lecture was presented by Prof. Ali Usman Manzo, a Lecturer at the Yobe State University and he has done Justice to the topic.

In attendance at the event, were the Vice President, MULAN National Body, the Honorable Grand Khadi of the Yobe State Sharia Court of Appeal, Damaturu, Justices of the Yobe State High Court, Khadis of the Yobe State Sharia Court of Appeal, the Chief Registrar, Yobe SCA, Magistrates, Alkalis, Directors from the Yobe Ministry of Justice, the Sharia Division and the Judiciary, Registrars from Yobe Judiciary, members of NBA and MULAN Yobe and some members of the public.

On the whole, the event was a huge success and it is pertinent to appreciate everyone who made this event a colorful and successful one.

May God reward all with good health, wealth and successful life.

Innaa Lillaahi Maa A'ɗaa Wa Lahuu Maa Akhazha Wa Kullu Shai'in Indahuu Bi Ajalin Musammaa.

The leadership of MULAN YOBE CHAPTER on behalf of the Muslim Lawyers offers heartfelt condolence to two of her members;

1. Barr. Lukman Usman (NBA Damaturu Chairman, 2020-2022, a Lecturer at Yobe State University and Managing Partner, Ajeje Chambers) who lost his uncle yesterday in Damaturu.

2. Barr. Mohammed Idriss Madaki, staff of Sharia Court of Appeal, Damaturu, who lost his father-in-law last week in Potiskum.

We pray that Allah, The Most Merciful, forgive their shortcomings, erase their sins and grant them Jannatul Firdaus as final abode.

May Allah give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.

MULAN YOBE CONGRATULATES HER MEMBERS ON THE CONFIRMATION OF APPOINTMENTS:

The leadership of the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria, Yobe State Chapter is excited to offer hearty congratulations to the under listed MULAN members on the confirmation of appointments by the Yobe State Judicial Service Commission:

1. Barr. Ahmed Mohammed Bahuya confirmed as the Deputy Chief Registrar Litigation, High Court Division.
2. Barr. Abba Bukar, confirmed as the Deputy Chief Registrar Administration, High Court Division.
3. Barr. Hadiza Bukar appointed the Deputy Secretary of Yobe State Judicial Service Commission.
4. Barr. Hadiza Shetima Budube appointed the Zonal Officer, Shariah Courts Division, Damaturu Zone.

MULAN also prays that Allah (SWT) guide them right in discharging their duties and reward them with goodness.

MULAN YOBE CONDOLS MEMBERS WHO LOST THEIR RELATIVES RECENTLY:

The leadership of the Muslim Lawyer's Association of Nigeria, Yobe State Chapter offers condolences and prayers to her members who lost their loved ones some days ago. The members include:

1. Hon. Justice Hadiza Lawan Musa of High Court of Yobe State and Yamai Lawan Esq of Ministry of Justice, Damaturu who lost their younger brother.
2. Barr. Aisha Isah of Ministry of Justice, Damaturu who lost her biological father in Kaduna.
3. Barr Hafsat Bala (Ummi) of Ministry of Justice, Damaturu who lost her elder sister and her family members in Maiduguri as a result of fire outbreak.
4. Barr Fatima Musa Auwal of Ministry of Justice, Damaturu who lost her elder sister last week.

MULAN prays to Allah (SWT) to forgive the shortcomings of the departed souls and grant them eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.

Yaa Allah, give the bereaved families to fortitude to bear the loss and grant us good ending when our time comes.

MULAN YOBE CONDOLS USTAZ BABAGANA KYARI OVER THE DEMISE OF HIS SON, MUHAMMAD JAWA.

The leadership of the Muslim Lawyers' Association of Nigeria, Yobe State Chapter was today, August 9, 2024, at the residence of Ustaz Baba Gana Mallam Kyari, the Special Adviser to Governor Buni on Religious Matters and also the Deputy Chairman, Ulama'u Council of JIBWIS, Yobe State, to offer heartfelt condolences for the loss of his son, Muhammad Jawa, who died yesterday in Damaturu.

The delegation led by the MULAN Chairman, Barr. Abdullahi B. Ngada, include the Secretary General of the Chapter, Barr. Ardo Muhammad Khamis, the Ass. Sec. Gen. I & II, Barr. Muhammad Alhaji Mele and Barr. Ali Kadai Suleiman respectively.

MULAN prays that Allah the most Merciful forgive the shortcomings of the departed soul and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss and may Allah grant us good ending when our time comes.

MULAN YOBE PAID A COURTESY CALL ON THE DEAN, FACULTY OF LAW, YOBE STATE UNIVERSITY

On Tuesday, the 16th Day of July, the leadership of the Muslim Lawyer's Association of Nigeria, Yobe State Chapter have paid an advocacy visit to the Dean, Faculty of Law, Yobe State University, Prof. Jajere at his office in Damaturu.

The delegation led by the MULAN Yobe Chairman, Barr. Babayo Abdullahi Ngada, was recieved by the Dean who expressed great pleasure for the brotherly visit, honor and regards accorded to them and excitedly promised that the Faculty is ready to freely give its auditorium for the MULAN to conduct programs whenever the need arise. He also urge the MULAN to try and organize awareness campaign to the Law Students in the Faculty under his leadership.

Responding, the Chairman, B. A. Ngada Esq., who's also a Director in the Ministry of Justice Yobe State, expressed gratitude for the glad ridings and the warm reception by the Dean. He appreciates the Dean and the Faculty Management for the time and opportunity given.

MULAN YOBE OFFERS CONDOLENCE TO THE FAMILIES OF LATE FORMER CHIEF JUDGE OF YOBE STATE, HONORABLE JUSTICE BABA SAJE GUJBA:

With heavy heart, the MULAN Yobe Chapter, visited the families of the Late C. J. Baba Saje Gujba rtd, to offer condolence and prayers for the departed soul.

Led by the Chairman, B. A. Ngada Esq., the delegation include Barr. Khamis Ardo, the Sec. Gen., Barr A. S. Kadai, the Asst. Sec. Gen. II, Barr. Abubakar Garba Sadiq, the Financial Secretary and Barr. Bintu Musa, the Treasure of the Chapter.

MULAN prays that Allah (SWT) forgive all the weaknesses and shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah grant his family and the entire legal community in Yobe, the fortitude to bear the loss.

MULAN YOBE VISITS YOBE BROADCASTING CORPORATION (YBC)

The leadership of the Muslim Lawyer's Association of Nigeria, Yobe State Chapter have paid an advocacy visit yesterday, 16th July, 2024, to the Yobe Broadcasting Corporation, YBC, at its Headquarters in Damaturu.

The delegation led by the MULAN Yobe Chairman, Barr. Babayo Abdullahi Ngada, was recieved by the General Manager of the YBC who expressed appreciation for the honor and regards accorded to them and also promised that the Corporation is ready and willing to publicize the activities of Yobe MULAN and grant them free airtime to conduct programs in the YBC anytime the MULAN is ready

In response, the Chairman, MULAN, express appreciations for the unexpected honor and warm welcom by the YBC and thanked the management for the willing support.

Thereafter, a group photograph was taken and the delegation bid farewell to the host.
