Power And Energy Committee.

VISIT TO IKPOBA OKHA LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL ON THE ABANDONED ELECTRIFICATION EXERCISE ON EKE STREET IN UPPER SOKPONBA ROAD ON 16/04/26.

Members of Power And Energy committee ably led by the chairman Leftist Kelli Eyonse paid a visit to the council but met the absence of the chairman who was said to have been on an official assignment but was warmly recieved by the Secretary to the council. Hon Patrick Emokpae.

On the purpose of visit, The committee was to unravel the circustances surrounding the Èké Street electrification exercise that was abandoned by a contractor assigned by the council. The residents of Éké Street had earlier received a 33kva transformer which was confirmed by staffs of BEDC after a feasibility study that the said transformer is too large for that locality. It may likely cause harm and destruction of electrical appliances and installations. Therefore an 11kva transformer would be a better option.

In a swift response, The secretary reiterated clearly that the electrification exercise was carried out by the past administration before this current one. However it would be better to swap the 33kva transformer for an 11kva transformer. Which will be further allocated to other communities where it can effectively serve it's purpose.

Consequently, He thereafter requested that an official letter be written to draw the attention of the chairman. He promised to do a proper follow up to ensure that the request of Eke Street residents is granted in no distant time.

Leftist Kelli Eyonse.
Chairman.

A Commercial Bus Driver Abduction & Torture By Members Of The Edo State Security Crops (ESSC).

It all started in early hours of Friday, 10th April 2026, when Leftist Godwin Okoduwa, a commercial bus driver, whose route is around Airport Road went to discharge passengers within Ogbe quarters which is their usual discharging point for passengers.

After discharging his passengers, two young men walked up to him requesting for the sum of five hundred naira (N500) from him, and he demanded for a receipt and purpose for the payment. The boys angrily jacked him up and handover him to members of ESSC officials (vigilante), reachingout immediately, Leftist Godwin took his phone to inform other Comrades of the situation.

The vigilante officials took his phone from him and bundled him to their office where he was given the beating of his life, to the extent that he fainted, he was held hostage against his will till in the evening, his mobile phone and his mini-bus were confiscated.

Comrades he earlier informed were busying searching the whole environment with panic for him as he was nowhere to be found. His phone was ringing, but no one was picking the calls. At a point Comrades became very confused.

At about 17:00hrs, surprisingly he called to inform Comrades of his predicament, that he had just been released from the vigilante base after serious dehumanisation.

Saturday, 11th April 2026, Leftist Godwin Okoduwa was mandated by the leadership of EDOCSO, to incident it at Oba Market Police Divisional Headquarters in company of some Comrades from Ogbeson School. To cut the whole story short, arrest was made by the police, medical form was given to the comrade for medical assessment and treatment.

Monday, 13th April 2026, we went to the station as agreed, the IPO, usher us to the DCO, where Comrades had serious engagement on the matter. The Police were advised to write to the state coordinator of Edo State Security Network to produce the earring officials for investigation including the sector commander 2.

Comrades visited on Wednesday, 15th April 2026 based on an appointment, the other party never showed-up, despite several attempts made by the IPO, they never responded.

The IPO, was asked, if they have written to the coordinator of the security outfit, although his response wasn't pleasant, we hope the next appointment on Friday, 17th April 2026, the Police authority will do the needful

Signed.
Leftist Prosper Obozua.
Secretary.
Ogbeson Study Center (EDOCSO).

EDOCSO, NOMAYO SCHOOL met on
TUESDAY, 7TH APRIL 2026.

The class was opened by comrade Obulor Godday by exactly 8:30am with solidarity songs followed by the 2nd stanza of the national anthem.

He took the lecture of the day from section 37 of Nigeria 1999 constitution as amended, Which talks about the Right to private and family life.

Questions were treated after the teaching, as the class was progressing, Leftist Omobude Agho, our Coordinator General walked in and threw more lights on the topic. He further instructed that only one section of our constitution should be taught per each class no matter how short that section may be in order to avoid confusion and easy assimilations.

He encouraged the class to try their best to procure a public address system as the one he brought to our class is borrowed from Santana market study centre who are barely a year old, he also talked about the purchase of plastic chairs however few it may be, since we are growing numerically.
And concluded by briefing the house of his recent challenge regarding the arrest by the Nigeria Police to Abuja and the outcome so far.

A new member was received and CG introduced the organisation to him and what is expected of every member of the network.

On AOB, the issue of Akugbe mortuary and the mutilated corps was brought up by one of the family members of the deceased who was present in the class for intervention. The issue after being explained, The CG gave directives to the man as to how to go about it and promised to be of help when required.

The class came to a close at 10:55am with the solidarity songs preceded by the 2nd stanza of the national anthem and group photographs were taken.

E soleto! E Africa!!!
