The Federal Executive Council has approved key road projects.

N470.9 billion has been allocated for the access road in Delta State, while N148 billion is earmarked for the access road to the Second Niger Bridge in Anambra State.

The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway (Phase 2, Section 1) has received an approval of N195 billion for reconstruction as part of the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF).

The reconstruction of three segments of the Lokoja-Benin road will be fully executed with concrete with a total budget of N305 billion. This includes N64 billion for the section from Obajana to Benin (Section I), N110 billion for Auchi to Edo (Section II), and N131 billion for the area around Benin Airport (Section III).

A contract valued at N3.571 billion has been authorized for a comprehensive structural evaluation of the Third Mainland Bridge and Carter Bridge in Lagos.

FEC has also granted approval for the Ado-Ekitiโ€“Igede Road Project, which is allocated a budget of N5.4 billion. Additionally, N22 billion contract for the Onitsha-Owerri expressway.

The Wusasa-Jos route in Kaduna State has received approval for an allocation of N18 billion.

Abia and Enugu states have been allocated N12.75 billion for a collaborative road project targeting essential areas within the budget constraints.

The FEC has also sanctioned N252 billion for the Abuja-Kano highway, which has now been divided into two primary segments.

During a press briefing following the FEC meeting on Monday in Abuja, David Umahi, the minister of works, stated that section one stretches from the boundary of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to Niger state, incorporating an extra 5.71 kilometers. Opening the Brains of Obaseki's PDP Members to Reality

Comr. Ezomon Ak

Is he a registered voter in Edo State?

Is he one of the INEC accredited Agents?

Is he a Collation Agents assigned by the party, registered with INEC?

Is he in any capacity related to Edo Election?

Was he present in all Polling Units to stand as a witness for the full State?

If he is basing his evidence on BVAS, the supreme Court had clarified this issue that, BVAS is not final authentic mode of knowing the total number of accredited voters.

Who is qualified to stand as witness in the Tribunal according to the Electoral Law?

The Electoral Act 2022, The Evidence Act and the Nigeria Constitution did not stipulate that anyone capitalising on hearsay is a legit witness.

Aftermath Of Edo Governorship Election And Governor Obaseki Plot To Use Local Governments Funds To Lead Women Protest.

In a shocking development on Tuesday, October 8th 2024, Governor Obaseki reportedly held a meeting with the Commissioner of Local Government, directing him to instruct the Heads of Service (HOS) and Treasurers (TLG) of the eighteen local government areas to release five million naira per LGAs from the councils' accounts. This money is allegedly intended for the council chairmen to mobilize women in their respective LGAs to stage protests against INEC and the governor-elect.

We strongly urge the HOS and TLG to remain committed to their official duties and avoid being drawn into any activities that could compromise their positions. The incoming administration of Senator Monday Okpebholo and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has pledged to thoroughly investigate any such misuse of local government funds once they assume office.

Finally, we call on Governor Obaseki to respect the democratic process that led to the emergence of the governor-elect. Any grievances regarding the election should be addressed through the established legal channels, including the election tribunal, which has already been set up to hear petitions related to the Edo governorship election.

Me: The LGA Chairmen should use the N5m as a Business Startup or 10 people each instead of trying to waste our funds. These funds can change 180 lives in the State .

PDP should go and prepare for another Election bin 2028.
