📢 NBA-AMLC & African Center to Equip Aspiring Lawyers with AML/CFT Knowledge

The Nigerian Bar Association Anti-Money Laundering Committee, in collaboration with Africenterdev, will hold a one-day sensitization workshop for aspirants to the Nigerian Bar.

đź’» Virtual Participation: Two additional campuses will join online

This workshop will strengthen the capacity of future lawyers by enhancing their understanding of:
• AML/CFT/PF red flags and compliance expectations
• Reporting obligations within Nigeria’s legal and regulatory framework
• Ethical duties under Chapter Two of the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners (RPC 2023)
• The Guidelines and Rules on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism for Legal Practitioners
• Key regulatory and institutional frameworks governing AML/CTF/CPF in Nigeria

This activity is delivered under the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office - FCDO-funded project, “Tackling Illicit Financial Flows through Asset Recovery, Management, and Strengthening ML/CFT/PF Compliance in Nigeria.” It demonstrates the commitment of the African Center and its partners to building a more ethical, compliant, and accountable legal profession.
