Congrats to our partner Archana Devi in securing a dismissal in Johor Bahru Court, in an accident matter that went viral where an unknown car collided into a motorcyclist who then fell under the tyre of the insured motorlorry and was runover. Sadly he died.
As the lorry driver stopped at the scene and lodged a police report, he became a victim of circumstances and was blamed as being the causa causans of the accident.
However, with her usual style of intensive cross examination eliciting various contradictions, we are proud to say our partner managed to come up tops again!

On 23rd June 2025, after a full trial over 2 weeks, our senior partners Vk Pillai and Ratnavathy Navaratnam successfully defended a Section 39( b) DDA charge and secured an acquittal at the end of prosecution!

The end of the year saw 2 great decisions in favour of the insurance companies as VRC scored 2 dismissals in fraudulent matters one involving switching of insured vehicle with uninsured and the other, self accident being turned into a 2 car incident!
The 2nd one involved an arm amputation with a quote worth millions and was extremely perplexing but as the story unfolded and pieces fell into place, the scam was unearthed bit by bit and put forward. Kudos to the judiciary for assisting in the batyle to eliminate insurance fraud!
