Rails Girls KL

Rails Girls KL Ruby is every girl's best friend. Rails Girls KL is a Code Equality initiative that promotes computer science education to the local community.

Rails Girls KL was kickstarted by the awesome folks at Code Equality to bring more diversity into the local tech scene by making computer science education more approachable for girls (and boys too!). We do so by:

Providing the tools, expertise and resources to enable girls to build things. Fostering a tight-knit and safe community that advocates shared learning, creativity and insatiable curiosi

ty. At Rails Girls KL, we teach Ruby on Rails in our workshops. Ruby is the programming language and Rails is the web application development framework written in the Ruby language. In other words, RoR provides you easy building blocks to create websites like Groupon and Says.com, which are also built on RoR, meaning you write less code and build more things! We also have expert mentors (enthusiastic and guaranteed unintimidating) on hand to guide you throughout the workshops. Whether you are a newbie or a veteran, come make cool stuff with us! We promise Ruby won’t be a stranger. Contact us at [email protected]
