Here's a poem about human dignity related to Malawians in today's time:
"In the land of Malawi, where the sun rises high
A nation of people, with hearts that cry
For dignity and respect, for a life that's true
Free from poverty and pain, and all we go through
We rise up in the morning, with hope in our eyes
But the struggles of life, they weigh us down and we sigh
We work hard every day, but our wages are low
And the cost of living, it's a burden we can't know
But still we hold our heads high, with dignity and pride
We are the sons and daughters, of this land we call home inside
We deserve to be treated, with respect and with grace
Not to be marginalized, or left in a place
So let us stand together, and fight for our rights
For a life of dignity, and a future that's bright
Let us not be silenced, let our voices be heard
For we are the people, of this land we call Malawi, oh
We are the ones who toil, in the fields and in the town
We are the ones who build, this nation upside down
We are the ones who dream, of a better life to come
And we won't stop until we reach, the promised land we've begun
So let us rise up, and take our rightful place
With dignity and respect, and a smile on our face
For we are the people, of Malawi, and we deserve to be
Treated with dignity, and respect, and set free."
