SKI organized a technical workshop today, bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Justice – Commercial Register (Supervising Judge at the Commercial Register), Ministry of Finance – Tax Administration Department, and the Public Procurement Authority, to review the proposed Unified Beneficial Ownership Information Declaration Template , developed under the study “Utilizing Beneficial Ownership Information in Public Procurement”.

The session focused on revising and refining the template based on institutional inputs, with the objective of enhancing data harmonization, strengthening inter-institutional coordination, and promoting greater transparency across relevant registries and oversight bodies.

This workshop was conducted within the framework of the “Transparency and Reform for the Prevention of Corruption (TRACE)” project, under the broader “Support to Inclusive Governance and Reform Processes in Lebanon (IGOR)” programme, implemented by GIZ Lebanon in partnership with SKI for Research & Consulting and GITEC-IGIP GmbH.

- Judge Yvonne Bou Lahoud; Supervising Judge at the Commercial Register in the Beirut Court

- Mr. Mohammad Moghabat ; Founder & Director at SKI for Research & Consulting and author of the study

Moderated by Mrs. Mahassen Moursel, the panelists and participants explored how beneficial ownership information can help identify real owners behind companies awarded public contracts, limiting and preventing conflict of interest, trading in influence, and strengthening accountability across procurement processes.
