With Makanga's fate signalling a looming dead end, Deputy president should have learnt some lessons from history. In 2001, Vice president Teofisto Guingona of Philippines, tough not impeachment, faced political struggles during his tenure, particularly when he publicly opposed president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. This caused major political rift between the two offices .
Vice president Schuyler Colfax of US 1873 ,was faced with major political corruption scandal . Although he was not impeached, the scandal ruined his political career, and he was not nominated for re-election in 1872.

VP Mike pence of US (2021) and VP Josephat karanja (moi regime) add to list of those whose political career have been severed and ruined.

My prayer is that the Dp overcomes all his troubles. Once again, we find ourselves in a dark chapter of Kenyan politics.

US president Bill Clinton was impeached on 19th Dec , 1998 by house of representatives. This , was after the president admitted to having an affair with white House intern , Monica Lewinsky.

Despite the impeachment, Clinton was allowed to complete his term in office.

Mind you, Clinton was the last president who balanced the budget and stabilized The US economy, ever since he left, US has been on a decline.

Since the post violence election of 2007-08, gradually political violence is rearing it's ugly head again .

Kenya kwanza has engaged in a tit- for- tat zero sum game, beginning with weaponization of impeachment threats and the use of criminal justice to settle political scores.

Public revolt against President Ruto's allies speaks volumes. Mt. Kenya is against the government.

Above all, violence doesn't have room in our country.
