Safaricom might become a victim of her own runaway success & reckless corporate arrogance. It is time to moderate otherwise Elon Musk's Starlink will annihilate & humble them for good. Monopolies are not good for business & innovation. The State has babysat Safaricom PLC for far too long but that's a matter for another day.

UNIVERSITY EDUCATION: What's not happening?
This week we have received 7 requests for financial support from parents whose young adults have been admitted to Public Universities. Interestingly some of the parents who are well known to be low income households are supposed to pay annual fees ranging between 66 & 98 thousand shillings per year in addition to providing support for upkeep to their wards. They were categorized under Bands 4 & 5 but knowing them, they can't even raise 30k per year. We can only contribute a fraction to those we actually know in person & we sympathize with the plight of sons & daughters of peasants from the rural areas. So what is exactly is going and what criteria was used to categorize households into the various bands? Are you affected & what are you doing about it?

The violent & brutal abduction/arrest of career journalist & my good old friend Macharia Franjes Gaitho is STUPIDITY of the rankest order. It is GROSS, UNACCEPTABLE & RIDICULOUS. Even a di**it can differentiate Mr. Macharia Gaitho who is enjoying his retirement from the other Gaitho who tweets from abroad. A simple data mining tool & audit trail of digital footprints would have shown the di**its along Kiambu Road that tweets by the other Gaitho are published from an IP address outside Kenya. This is the reason we must URGENTLY REVIEW the ENTRY point & TRAINING curriculum of the Kenya National Police Service. Fellows with D-minus cannot & will not help Kenya, they cannot deal with emerging digital crimes. Pole sana Franjes, you just lost your wife the other day and now this......sad!

2. Established a business for his wife who squandered the proceeds & bankrupted the business.
3. He set up a second business for the wife, which again she ran down.
4. In anger he killed; dismembered & dumped her body at Kware dump site in 2022.
5. Since 2022 he has been on a mission of vengeance, targeting pretty women, killing, mutilating & dismembering their bodies before dumping them at Kware dump site.
6. These were not perfect murders. He did not make any serious attempt to cover his tracks. He left enough footprints knowing he will finally be caught. He actually wanted to be caught. The incompetency in the National Police Service Officers in Embakasi South stinks to high heavens. Some heads must roll!
7. Kenya must URGENTLY raise the entry point, qualifications & training curriculum for Police Officers to deal with emerging crimes such as those of passion & mental pathology. D- Minus material in the Police Service is UNACCEPTABLE in this Age of Digital/Virtual Reality.
8. LESSON - Young ladies, before you exploit; eat fare or suck the blood of any in Gen Y (Millennials) & Gen Z, please think twice. The concealed anger in the minds of young men below 33 is out of this world.
