The HIV & AIDS Tribunal is a specialized court that upholds the human rights of persons living with HIV. The bulk of the cases handled include unlawful disclosure of HIV status to third paries, stigma, discrimination and hospital procedures.

Integrity was non-negotiable. Even if no one is watching, do the right thing.

Giving birth is a life or death experience. The body of a new mom needs time to heal and go back to normal. Sleep is recommended to achieve this. That’s why a minimum of 3 months maternity leave is recommended. There’s so much happening to a new mom from back pain to sore ni***es to stitches and sleepless nights. One can barely sit or walk. I therefore don’t understand how the examination council thinks it fit to give exams to the teen moms who have just delivered. That is setting them up for failure! Give them a dead year and allow them to sit for the exams the following year

I love google. You can learn so much. When my daughter asks a question that I don’t have an answer to or don’t know how to answer simply, we run to google 🤭 however, dealing with a client who has googled his case or visited and consulted several Lawyers is where I draw the line!

A client will come with strict instructions to file a constitutional petition yet it’s a simple matter that an injunction order would sort. Mid way through the litigation process, they may keep bugering you to change strategy due to the many voices advising them that range from ridiculous advice to advice that would negatively impact the case, making it difficult to make progress in the case.

I found myself googling some symptoms and a simple search gave me numerous options. I almost called my Doctor demanding admission for an urgent surgery for a simple discomfort! My daughter told me to go to hospital if I must and stop consulting Mr. Google. I almost became the client that is difficult to handle..

Not all cases are filed in court. Some are filed in Tribunals which are specialized courts that deal with specific laws as provided by various Acts of Parliament.

Our society has become so corrupt it’s unbelievable that the public can get public service without corruption. Over the years I have gotten judgments for my clients without money exchanging hands. They have been awarded what is rightfully entitled to them. A party whom I got judgment against visited my chambers to negotiate on a payment plan.

He had the audacity to ask me to act for him in future matters coz I seem to know how to “talk to the Judge “ which explains why I got a favorable judgement for my client. I was livid but understand why he would think so. I find this to be an attack to Advocates who try to do clean business and the judiciary at large. Granted, a few of us have gone a stray, but, it’s not the entire judicial system or bar of Adoocates that is corrupt!

But at this rate, the fight against corruption is far from being won!
