Maanzoni Owners Association Wildlife Update

On March 18, 2026, our rangers in collaboration with the Malinda farm and Trevor Malinda successfully provided veterinary treatment to three zebras within the Malinda Conservancy area near the Maanzoni Wildlife Estate. Interventions addressed:

- A swollen belly in the first zebra
- A minor injury in the second
- An overgrown toe in the third

We extend our deepest appreciation to the teams involved for their professionalism, swift response, and unwavering commitment to wildlife welfare. This operation, conducted in collaboration with relevant authorities, underscores the Association's dedication to habitat preservation.

Continued community support remains essential to empower such vital efforts.

💔 Tragic Loss in Manzoni on January 9, 2026 💔

A pregnant eland attempted to jump a fence into a private home, seeking greener trees in this drought. She sadly died caught in the fence—losing her life and unborn calf. Elands leap 2.5m , so we need wildlife-friendly designs.

Maanzoni community: Advocate lower/smoother fences with migration gaps. Report sightings, join patrols, pay dues for ranger resources!

🎉 What an incredible morning at Nthuluni Primary and Junior School! 🎉

The power of our Maanzoni community was on full display — together we raised an amazing KSh 106,000!!! 🙌💛 What a phenomenal achievement!

Combined with Dr Kasanga’s generous Lukenya School contribution, along with additional personal donations of books and educational tools — including various books and learning resources for the school library — we proudly presented the school with:

📚 145 textbooks (with 18 more currently on order!)
📖 Library books
📒 130 A4 exercise books
📐 5 geometry sets
✏️ Pens and pencils

This is what community spirit looks like 💫

It was especially meaningful to have Margaret Oula present the contributions on behalf of the wider Maanzoni community. Margaret truly embodies the transformative power of education — having not only educated her own children, but also taken on the remarkable responsibility of raising and educating more than 20 foster children and young adults, ensuring each of them had the opportunity to learn and thrive. There could not have been a more fitting representative 🤍

Margaret was joined by Anna, Selina, Doreen, Esther, and Anna (Village Manager) for this special presentation.

A heartfelt thank you to every single person who contributed so generously — including Pankaj Kalaiya, Pravin Chandra, The Kai Memorial Foundation, and 19 other donors.

Because of you, children are back to learning with the materials they need. The impact you have made on the students, teachers, and the entire school community is truly lasting and deeply appreciated. 🌟
