The direction that Turkana North will take in 2027 must be about bringing in "NEW LEADERSHIP" that is ready to move the constituency forward. Turkana North needs leaders who can shape the future, not a return to old leadership that already failed when the people trusted them with power. If they could not deliver when they had the opportunity and the trust of the wananchi, then coming back again to seek leadership is nothing but leadership driven by selfish interests and endless looting, without mercy for the suffering people.
Turkana North cannot continue being used as an experiment ground for recycled leaders who have nothing new to offer. Leadership is about service, vision, and responsibility, not personal enrichment or political ego. Those who believe that their names alone can guarantee leadership forever are living in the past. The people are wiser now, and they understand that real development comes from leaders who listen, act, and deliver.
Hon. Akukunyu is ready to take Turkana North to a new level. The dream of turning Turkana North into a “Singapore” of development depends on the kind of leaders we choose. This dream cannot be achieved by leaders who are addicted to corruption and empty promises, but by leaders who have proven capacity, integrity, and commitment to the people.
