Sea you soon! 🐟🌊
Summer by the Ionian Sea means a trip to the museum (there was a lovely exhibition on CBGB yesterday – fancy finding out more?), a festival in Taranto this weekend featuring the Pet Shop Boys and Suede, and today, for a change, our favourite sea.
It’s so clear you can see several metres down! Who wants to spend the summer with us? We’ve just recharged our batteries for some trips! :-D

Octopus madness 🦑
In Polignano a Mare, we tried the most traditional octopus sandwich:
a good bun, freshly grilled octopus, olive oil, lemon and parsley.
We highly recommend SUNSHINE, where this traditional dish blows many a fancy recipe out of the water!

☕ In Puglia every coffee is different, every coffee is great!
In Taranto we drink Espressino, in Lecce we drink Caffè leccese.
And in Polignano a Mare, we recommend the Caffè speciale at Mario Campanella Il Super Mago del Gelo – the very place where it was invented.
🍋 Coffee, liqueur and lemon zest – what’s not to like? ;-)

Eating with the locals in Lecce!
“The Florence of the South” is a tourist destination, and in places like that, it can sometimes be hard to find authentic local food.
Thanks to TheFork.it , we managed to find another great spot! At L'Obelisco - Ristorante Pizzeria Braceria, both the seafood and the meat dishes were delicious. The generous portions and friendly service did the rest. We’ll definitely be back!
