We feel extremely proud to introduce our key note speaker for the event, Dr. Birendra Saraf. Dr. Saraf graduated from Gauhati Commerce College and then went on to study law from the esteemed Government Law College, Mumbai.

He started his practice in the chambers of Justice D Y Chandrachud as his junior. Through hardwork and perseverance, he quickly climbed the ladder of success and today is the Secretary of the Bombay Bar Association which is one of the oldest in the country.

An LLM from Mumbai University and a doctorate in Law are only some of the many feathers Dr. Saraf has added to his cap. He has represented clients in matters varying from noise pollution to student rights and has also acted as an amicus or a friend of the court in various cases.

We feel extremely privileged to have this multi faceted Advocate in our midst.✨✨

Mr. Rafael Pereira, moderator, panellist and alumnus.

A mark of versatility, Mr. Pereira is a trailblazer on the unconventional path of entrepreneurship after law. He has proven that life after the law degree is not restricted to the Courtroom. Having founded his first venture while he was still at law school, he continues to remain an inspiration for young law students who some day hope to tread the same path.

Today he is an intellectual property strategist, Berkeley Law graduate, and the genius behind multiple ventures. To add on to that, he is also an award- winning actor and director, and the former brand ambassador of the National Centre for Performing Arts in Mumbai. (Talk about an all - rounder with the upcoming Cricket World Cup series!) What makes us especially proud is that he is a former PGCL student himself. Mr. Pereira has most enthusiastically supported our previous endeavours and we are more than thrilled to have him back and address us at NCLE 2019!

Mingling journalism and law, he still firmly believes that once a journalist, always journalist. His passion for journalism is evident from his lectures as a Bachelor of Mass Media professor and professor of press law.
Being a senior journalist with leading national dailies in India and editor of a monthly known as 'voice of dignity', his writing aspires to evoke reaction and action. This spirit of evoking change through writing is what we are curious to explore at the conference. 💫💫💫 .
