We rarely talk about what happens when you have to walk away from a life you’ve built for over 25 years and the professional silence that follows.

In this episode of The Daily Lawyer podcast, I sit down with Ruchi Agnihotri . It is, quite honestly, one of the most human conversations I have ever had on this channel.

Ruchi speaks about losing her father very young, being raised by a strong lady who never allowed her to believe that being a woman made her any less capable, and entering a profession where the early years can make even the brightest young lawyer feel lost & overwhelmed.

We spoke about law, loss, work, womanhood, discomfort, dignity, and what it means to rise again but with grace.

This is a conversation for anyone who has had to make a difficult choice, live with its consequences, and still find the courage to begin again.

The team has spoken, and the verdict is in!

We’re settling the age-old office debate: Who’s the more dramatic one? Who’s the most approachable? And most importantly, who’s getting us out of a tough spot?

At , we take our work seriously, but we don’t always take ourselves seriously. See the team spill the tea! ☕️

It’s World Book and Copyright Day, and it felt like the perfect moment to put together a list of books recommended on the TDL Podcast for anyone feeling a little stuck in their career.

Books have certainly been my best friends!
They’ve helped me think more clearly, feel more deeply, and find direction when things felt uncertain.

One of the things I value most is hearing what people I admire are reading.
The books they return to often reveal something about how they think, grow, and move through difficult seasons.

This list comes from conversations on the TDL Podcast - books our guests have recommended when they are seeking clarity, perspective, or a way forward.

Save this for when you need it.
And tell us: which book would you add to this list?

We live within the space- time axis.

Just as places of worship like temples remind us of the Divine in space, festivals are a reminder of the Divine in time. ✨

So grateful to be part of a team that wholeheartedly embraces this.

Today, we brought Vishu into our office - sharing our Vishu Kani as a small but meaningful part of our culture.

Vishu Kani, to me, is deeply intentional. It is the act of seeing yourself reflected in abundance at the very start of the year.

The masters understood something we now call visualisation: you see yourself surrounded by nature’s gifts and symbols of prosperity, you hold that image, you pray for abundance, and you offer gratitude.

And in that moment, you remember — it is by the Divine’s hand that we exist, and by that same grace that we receive.

A forgotten bank account in Switzerland. A company trail lost to time. And an investigation that unlocked a surprise “bonanza” decades later.

In this reel, Mukesh Bajaj (CIGAER) shares a real case:

In the 1940s, a Japanese steel company opened a Swiss bank account. After the war years, there was no claimant and the account stayed untouched. In 2014, a Swiss investigator reached out to CIGAER for help tracing the company’s continuity in Japan.

What followed was classic investigative work:
-Connecting the investigator to the right local network
-Tracing acquisitions and successor entities layer-by-layer
-Identifying the ultimate rightful owner
-Enabling the bank to reach out to the legitimate claimant

This is what asset tracing and corporate lineage investigation looks like in the real world.

In challenging times, great legal leaders do not just react. They stay proactive.

In this reel, we explore why General Counsels need to keep up with the news, stay connected to peers, assess risk early, and give the business both clarity and calm when uncertainty rises.

A strong GC does more than interpret legal risk. They help the business stay prepared, think clearly, and move forward with confidence.

Behind every asylum claim, there may be a story. But sometimes, there is also a fraud waiting to be exposed.

In this eye-opening snippet, Mukesh Bajaj of CIGAER talks about the kind of investigative work that uncovers deception hidden beneath carefully presented claims. In one such case, an asylum seeker claiming to have nothing, was linked to a family home that featured a Ferrari and even a single-engine aircraft. These discoveries completely changed the picture.

Cases like these show why CIGAER’s investigative role matters. Their work helps uncover inconsistencies, verify facts on the ground, and bring to light frauds that exploit systems meant to protect the truly vulnerable.

Much like the Bollywood movie Dunki which explored the larger migration story, this conversation reveals the lesser-seen side: the importance of investigation, truth, and accountability.
