We are pleased to announce that Saswati Soumya, Partner – Data Privacy & AI at ANB Legal, will be joining us as a Panelist for the 1st International & 2nd National Symposium on ā€œFinTech and the Future of Finance: Law, Innovation and Regulationā€, organised by the Centre for Information Communication Technology and Law (CICTL), Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, in collaboration with The Dialogue and IQAC, Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai.

Ms. Saswati is a technology lawyer with extensive experience in data privacy, AI governance, health-tech, fintech, and corporate law. Her work focuses on designing data privacy frameworks, embedding AI governance into product lifecycles, and advising on regulatory compliance across multi-jurisdictional frameworks including GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy regulations.

Her professional experience spans technology-driven startups, cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, fintech regulation, and corporate governance. She has also worked extensively on strengthening legal and compliance frameworks within the health-tech ecosystem, with a focus on operational efficiency, risk reduction, and responsible innovation.

In addition to her practice, she regularly contributes to discussions on AI ethics, ESG, and data protection through publications and speaking engagements at national and international forums. Her perspective brings valuable practical and regulatory insight to conversations surrounding FinTech, digital governance, and emerging technologies.

We are pleased to announce that Gokul Narayan, Chief Executive Officer of the Asian School of Cyber Laws (ASCL) and co-founder & Director at SettleWiseNow, will be joining us as a Panelist for the 1st International & 2nd National Symposium on ā€œFinTech and the Future of Finance: Law, Innovation and Regulationā€, organised by the Centre for Information Communication Technology and Law (CICTL), Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, in collaboration with The Dialogue and IQAC, Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai.

With nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of law and technology, Mr. Narayan specialises in cyber law, data protection, and digital regulation. In his current role as CEO of the Asian School of Cyber Laws, he has been instrumental in advancing legal education and equipping professionals across India and internationally with the tools to navigate an increasingly complex digital regulatory landscape.

His expertise lies in cyber law, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on how emerging technologies intersect with legal frameworks governing the FinTech sector. As Director at SettleWiseNow, he further brings to the table a grounded understanding of dispute resolution mechanisms suited to the demands of modern commerce.

We are pleased to announce that Ranjeet Rane, Partner at The Dialogue and a public policy professional working at the intersection of technology, regulation, and financial systems, will be joining us as a Panelist for the 1st International & 2nd National Symposium on ā€œFinTech and the Future of Finance: Law, Innovation and Regulationā€, organised by the Centre for Information Communication Technology and Law (CICTL), Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, in collaboration with The Dialogue and IQAC, Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai.

At The Dialogue, he leads the FinTech and Sustainable Finance verticals, with a focus on banking regulation, data governance, emerging technologies, and consumer protection. His work involves engaging with regulators, financial institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders to design practical and forward-looking policy frameworks.

He has previously led technology policy research at the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub, working on areas such as digital payments, generative AI, green finance, and consumer protection. Earlier, at ReBIT, he contributed to policy advisory initiatives on cyber security, data localisation, and financial regulation.

With an academic background in public policy, economics, and political science, and as an alumnus of the University of Oxford’s Public Policy and Economics programme, he is currently pursuing doctoral research in climate risk communication.
