The 2Km long cycling track was inaugurated today at Van Vigyan Kendra, Chessa near the upcoming Hollongi Airport by Sh. RK Singh, PCCF & Pr. Secy (EF&CC). The track passes through seed orchards, palmatum & canatum. The whole stretch of track is informational with respect to various vegetative species. Cycles are available for use by visitors.
Van Vigyan Kendra is a pioneering centre for forestry research and genetic resource conservation. Now, it is getting recognition as a popular tourist destination.

Protection & conservation measures taken up with local support has resulted into rise in no. of Black Necked Crane visiting Zemithang Valley. With addition of 6 new, 14 individuals are identified so far. The area is growing into a must visit place for the tourists.

Critically Endangered White Bellied Heron was sighted recently at NamdaphaTR. This beautiful species is very elusive and rare with global population estimated to be less than 300 individuals.
