| The venue for Sikkim Krantikari Morcha’s (SKM) upcoming 9th Jan Unmukti Diwas-cum-2nd Aama Samman Diwas has been changed from Namchi to Rangpo Ground.

Sikkim Assembly Passes Two Bills on Day 2 of General Budget Session

Gangtok, July 21: The second day of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly’s General Budget Session witnessed the passage of two Bills, ‘Sikkim Medical Council for Indian System of Medicine Bill, 2026 (Bill No. 04 of 2026 and the National Council for Skill Education, Sikkim (Repealing) Bill, 2026 (Bill No. 08 of 2026).

The Sikkim Medical Council for Indian System of Medicine Bill, 2026 was introduced by Ayush Minister G.T. Dhungel, while the National Council for Skill Education, Sikkim (Repealing) Bill, 2026 was introduced by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, who also holds the Skill Development Department portfolio.

Both Bills had been tabled during the Legislative Business of the General Budget Session on July 20 and were successfully passed by the House on the second day of the session.
