Quality Education is Fundamental Right under Article.21-A r/w 21 of Constitution of India. To enable the Right, Parliament has enacted RTE Act, 2009.

Section.12(1)(c) of RTE Act, 2009 mandates every private school shall give at least 25% of its seats in Class-I to poor for FREE and provide FREE Education till 8th class. So Every year nearly 1,00,000 FREE seats should be given to Poor in Private Schools from 2010-11 AY.

As AP was not implementing even after completion of 7 AYs depriving 7,00,000 poor kids Fundamental Rights, we have filed WP(PIL).165/2017, and the Hon'ble High Court on 03.01.2022 directed AP Govt to implement 25% Quota from 2022-23 AY as per Standard Operating Procedure issued by NCPCR. As Govt was reluctant to implement we have filed Contempt Case vide CC/1824/2022. So the Govt started Implementing after 2 months of start of Academic Year.
