We are now proud to introduce Mr Abhinav Bhushan the Deputy Counsel at the International Court of Arbitration - International Chamber of Commerce, Paris. He has vast experience in all kinds of arbitration and before joining ICC he Studied Corporate Law & Dispute Resolution at Columbia Law School, New York. "Ashutosh Ray is an India qualified lawyer, currently assisting Justice A M Ahmadi, former Chief Justice of India in high value international and domestic arbitrations, and opinions.

He is the first Indian for having been invited to speak at Young Arbitration Practitioner (YAP) event during the prestigious 22nd biennial ICCA (International Council for Commercial Arbitration) Congress in Miami in April, 2014 where he will be speaking on issues relating to investment treaty arbitrations.

He has been also consulting the Law Commission on suggesting changes to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. He has published in reputed international journals and national newspapers on inter-alia law policy issues.

He also runs a popular arbitration blog Lex Arbitri. Ashutosh was recipient of Gide Loyrette Nouel Scholarship for the inaugural edition of International Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris. Earlier, amongst his several internships, he has served at a prominent international law firm’s Singapore office and also at the ICC headquarters in Paris."

We are pleased to introduce one of the youngest legal expert who wil be joining us for the seminar. Anirudh Krishnan, a law graduate from NALSAR, Hyderabad, has completed the BCL course from Oxford University and is also a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales. During his two- year stint at Clifford Chance, London, he has worked in among other areas on International Arbitration. He is the Chief-editor of the two-volume book titled “Justice R.S.Bachawat’s Law of Arbitration and Conciliation”, published by Lexis Nexis Butterworths Wadhwa Nagpur. He has also authored a book titled “The Law of Reservation and Anti-discrimination” published by LexisNexis Butterworths Wadhwa Nagpur. Apart from these, he has published numerous articles, on varied areas of law in several journals. He writes a regular column for a popular legal news platform – Bar & Bench (www.barandbench.com). He has delivered guest lectures in many of the national law schools and has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences including a seminar conducted by 39 Essex Street Chambers, London. He was also invited to deliver talks to the international arbitration teams of Clifford Chance LLP and Herbert Smith, LLP, London. Anirudh was selected as an Inter Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) scholar in the year 2012. Anirudh specializes in arbitration and commercial litigation and regularly handles matters in Chennai and Bangalore. He has been part of teams that have been involved in numerous international arbitrations including ICC, LCIA, SIAC, AMTAC and ICSID arbitrations in addition to a number of domestic arbitrations. Kumar Sumit Rai is a 2007 law graduate (B.L.S, LL.B) from the Government Law College, Bombay (India) and is registered to practice law with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa (India).

Rajendra Barot is a senior partner at AZB & Partners, one of India’s most prominent law firms, and has been a partner there since its inception. Mr Barot received his bachelor of law from the University of Bombay in 1994. He is a member of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society. He has wide experience in successfully handing international and domestic arbitrations in relation to shareholders’ disputes, oil and gas sector and property disputes. He has represented Indian and multinational clients in arbitrations before the LCIA, ICC and SIAC. We are proud to announce that one of the most experienced Indian lawyer in the field of arbitration will be joining us. Mr. Ganesh Chandru is a partner in Rodyk & Davidson LLP's Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group.

He is admitted to practice in Singapore, England and India, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. His practice encompasses advising and representing parties in arbitrations (under Rules of SIAC, ICC, LCIA, SCMA, UNCITRAL as well as ad hoc) and in litigation matters before the courts. Mr. Chandru also sits as an arbitrator in international arbitrations. He is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of SIAC, Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the KLRCA. Between 2002 and 2007, and was the Counsel & Assistant Registrar of the SIAC. He supervised the administration of about 500 arbitrations during his 5-year stint at SIAC and also pioneered SIAC's initiatives in India.

During his law school days, Mr. Ganesh was an avid participant in moot court competitions and he represented his varsity at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington DC, USA. He was among the top 5% of his LLB class. As a graduate student, he was awarded the NUS Research Scholarship and was conferred a Master of Laws degree by the National University of Singapore for his thesis on ‘International Commercial Arbitration and Information Technology'.Mr. Chandru regularly speaks on arbitration and lectures at the International Entry Course on Arbitration Law & Practice conducted by the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is a co-author of the Singapore Chapter in The International Comparative Legal Guide to International Arbitration (4th Edition, 2007).

He has been recognised in the ‘Global Arbitration Review 100 (2009)' as a "significant" name. He is currently on the Council of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and is the Chairman of one of its committees.
