We KIIT Society of Law and Technology are organizing a conference on the theme “Make In India- A techno-legal Perspective”, held on 30th January-31st January 2016 at Campus-16, School Of Law, KIIT University. It is an initiative to gather all the different schools of KIIT University together. We thereby invite all the schools. This conference would be beneficial for the students of School Of Computer Application, School of Computer Engineering, School of Biotechnology, School of Film and Media Science and School of Engineering.

The students are free to register, however the maximum participation is 60 students and certificates will be given for the same.
A Grand dinner on the 30th January 2016 from 7-9 pm at the same venue.

Dr. GHAYUR ALAM, has been the Director, Centre for Sustainable Development, Dehradun (Uttaranchal, India). Earlier, Dr. Alam was a Senior Economist, National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi (1981-90) and prior to that, Fellow, Institute of Advanced Studies, Manchester Polytechnic, UK (1978-80). He has been Consultant to OECD, ILO, World Bank, UNCTAD, UNDP, UNIDO and INTECH, United Nations University (UNU). Dr. Ghayur Alam has to his credit 29 major research studies. His publications include 40 research papers in reputed journals and a book entitled Liberalization and Industrial Development in The Third World : A Comparison of the Indian and South Korean Engineering Industries (co-authored with Staffan Jacobsson, Sage, 1994). He completed his Ph.D. from the University Of Manchester, UK. Currently, Dr. Alam is also the faculty adviser in the Ministry of HRD Chair Professor of IP Law, NLIU, Bhopal.

Sanjay Nekkanti, is the current co-founder of Dhruva Space and the Vice-President of Comsat Systems Pvt. Ltd. His area of specialisation is defence and space. He has completed his education from Luleå University of Technology and SRM University. He had been a research assistant in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Dhruva Space Systems Pvt. Ltd. is a Bangalore based new space company established in 2012 with a vision to lead the privatization of satellite industry in India. They are currently developing an indigenous small satellite platform with a primary focus on assembly, integration, testing and operation of satellites.

The project, Earth2Orbit has set up strategic alliances with established players in space and promising space start-ups to offer a market-friendly spectrum of products and services. The Astronomy Club had recently organized a one-day workshop on ‘SMALL SATELLITE SYSTEMS’ on 2nd of March 2014 in association with Dhruva Space Pvt Ltd., wherein Mr. Sanjay Nekkanti was one of the speakers. The workshop started with the talk about the outlook and opportunities in small satellite technology by Mr. Sanjay Nekkanti. He first explained the basic building blocks of a Satellite Mission: Space Segment, Launch Segment and the Ground Segment. He also gave a Student Satellite Mission Roadmap and motivated students to design their own prototype.
